Upper Body Plyometrics The lowest hanging fruit in every athlete program Don’t get me wrong having a huge bench press and sick pecs is awesome But if you can’t express those in an explosive manner then it’s pretty much useless in whatever sport you play Having an athletic upper half also helps prepare the body for the demands of your sport. You are going to need to move your arms, chest, core, and back at a high velocity in order to make plays on the field Whether that be making tackle, throwing a punch, swinging a bat, or chucking a javelin A majority of athletes would see substantial gains once they start implementing more of these explosive movements simply because they aren’t doing them at all Anecdotally this helped my bench press a ton being able to press 295 for a triple and improved my 225 max reps from 8 to 12 over the course of 8-10 weeks weighing right around 185 I wouldn’t suggest something if I truly didn’t think it worked So let’s get twitchy together Hitman Out🫡

Step 1: Warm Up Properly– Stretch out those legs and get the blood flowing. Try some dynamic stretches like lunges and high knees. You don’t want to go into this cold. Step 2: The Jump– Stand tall, keep your hands close to your body, and jump straight up. The trick here is to aim for max height with each jump—just like the Masaai do. Aim to do it explosively. Step 3: Repeat in Sets – Start with 3 sets of 10 jumps, resting between sets. As you get stronger, increase your sets and reps.
