LIThe main differences I have found between a Fibro Easter Egger and an Ayam Cemani lies in the degree of black pigmentation, combs and their egg color.
Ayam Cemani are completely black, including their skin, feathers, organs, and bones.
Fibro Easter Eggers, while also displaying black pigmentation, or fibromelanosis, have a more variable presentation of black feathering, and they lay a range of green to olive, white, blue or blue-green eggs, while Ayam Cemani lay cream-colored eggs.
Fibro Easter can have various comb types like rose or pea combs, and while their combs can be black, they might also be red if the bird only has one copy of the Fibro gene. On the other hand, Ayam Cemani have single combs, typically black, with five distinct points.
And lastly, Ayam Cemani will breed true while Fibro Easter Eggers do not, as they are a hybrid breed consisting of more than one breed.
I can only speak for Fibro Easter Eggers, but they are a very sweet and docile breed, and they would be a great breed for first time chicken keepers especially with young children.
