Nano Ghar Series Episode 7 | Kashmiri Daal Chawal Recipe: 1) Channy ki Daal 3 kg 2) Mutton 3kg 3) Onions 1 kg 4) Ginger Garlic Paste 3 tbsp 5) Desi Ghee 1/2 Kg 6) Laal Masr 1/2 kg 7) Salt to Taste 8) Laal Mirch Powder 8 Tbsp 9) Turmeric 1/2 tbsp 9) Cumin Powder 2 tbsp 10) Coriander Powder 2 tbsp 11) Cardamom 8-10 12) khara masala add to taste 13) Pepper 4 tbsp Method: 1) soak the daal in water for atleast 2 hours 2) in a pot add salt, laal mirch podwr and daal ( with water ) and cook in a low heat for 2-3 hours. 3) in a separate pot, add the mutton add the onions ginger garlic paste all the rest of masalas. Cook for 2.5 hours on low heat. 4) once meat is done, take it out and separate the meat from the bones and mash it up on a silvataa/chatoo. 5) cook the mutton broth in a separate pot while adding desi ghee for 15 mins once the gravy is done. 6) Add the daal in the mutton broth/masala and with a beater/grinder, keep on stirring to make the daal consistency mushy. 7) add the mashed up mutton the the daal. Cook for 30 mins. 8) add garam masala, kaali mirch and badayan khatai for scent. Enjoy :)
