Our systems have been in decline for decades. The Republican Party represented a nosedive; the Democrats a more managed decline. Today we’re in the beginning phases of a whole systems collapse. A whole systems breakdown requires a whole systems response. The blindness and denial that pervaded our attitudes during the period of decline must not be the attitudes with which we face this moment now. Each of us has a deep responsibility, not only to our country, but to the world and to ourselves. We need to become the people who can handle this. How we personally evolve will determine where things go from here. That we meditate and/or pray for guidance is as important as registering to vote. Equally so. The purification of our hearts is as important as knowing the news. Equally so. That we harness our courage is as important as managing our material world. It will take all the love we can muster, and then some, to become the people we need to be to endure and transform these times. Storms do pass, and so will this one. Gird your loins and prepare your heart. Each person you meet, each experience you’re confronted with, will provide a portal to a better way. *(I don’t know who created that meme but thanks to whoever did)
