Die gesetzliche Rente muss gerechter werden – und das beginnt bei uns Politikern. Bisher erwerben Abgeordnete schon nach vier Jahren im Bundestag Rentenansprüche von über 1.000 €, während viele andere Menschen dafür Jahrzehnte arbeiten müssen. Das ist unverhältnismäßig und ungerecht. Deshalb finde ich, dass wir bei der zurzeit diskutieren Rentenreform in jedem Fall dafür sorgen müssen, dass auch Abgeordnete künftig in die gesetzliche Rente einzahlen. Langfristig soll die Rentenversicherung nach unserer Auffassung zu einer echten Erwerbstätigenversicherung werden, in die alle einzahlen: Beschäftigte, Selbstständige und neue Beamtinnen und Beamte. So wird das System gerechter und zukunftsfähiger.
