I Belong. One Humanity. Un Mundo Unido. This is the message behind the gown I created for my Oscars invitation. This invitation became more than a moment, it became a platform. A platform to use visibility with purpose, and to contribute, in my own way, to a message of unity and peace in a time of global division. More than a dress, this design reflects a belief I hold deeply: that in a world where many people are searching for their place, we must remember that we already share something powerful: our humanity. I called this piece I Belong as a celebration of my personal story, but also as a reflection of a question many people are asking today: where do we belong in a world that feels divided? Through the movement of the drape and the symbolism within the design, I wanted to express unity within diversity. The idea that identity, culture, and individuality can coexist while still belonging to something greater. As an Italian, I also wanted to celebrate the connection between cultures and communities across the world, including the vibrant Latino community, reminding us that our diversity is part of the beauty of our shared human story.
