If you still think why do we need supplements to get essential nutrients? Why can’t we get them from food? The Culprit is the soil your food is grown in. It’s depleting! The formation takes 100’s of years for just about an inch of this soil layer. Our modern agricultural methods have stripped increasing amounts of nutrients from the top soil in which the food grows. And that’s why I recommend these 5 basic supplements no matter who you are and what your health goal - 1. Vitamin D : when it comes to vitamin D, It doesn’t matter how much you get in from sunlight. I want you to be ABOVE 60! If you’re at 20-30 etc, you’re in the normal range but not OPTIMAL. We want optimal so our immunity is better, mood is better and losing weight becomes easier too. Low Vitamin D levels are linked to obesity. 2. B complex : If you’re someone who has the constant urge to snack on something like chips or cupcakes at night, then a B-complex supplement might be able to help. It helps in the synthesis of neurotransmitters like dopamine and serotonin from 5-HTP, and gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) from glutamate all of which are happy hormones. 3. B12 : Vitamin B12, is an important vitamin involved in red blood cell production, brain health, and DNA synthesis. If you’re a vegetarian I know you’re struggling to meet your daily requirements and that’s why this one is a non negotiable for you. 4. Omega 3 : It not only works wonders for your hormones but also skin and overall inflammation in the gut. It can reverse insulin sensitivity PCOS which is the type 80 % of you with Pcos fall in. BUT DHA and EPA above 800 always. 5.Magnesium : Research shows magnesium reduces HPA- Axis over activity which reduces cortisol so you feel less anxious and get better at coping with stress. Women with estrogen dominance must have magnesium because it supports the liver’s COMT enzyme which helps to clear out excess estrogen. COMT is responsible for metabolizing estrogen properly. If you’re not feeling better since you started supplementing, go back to your basics first. Cause without those, supplements are USELESS. Also,🙏🙏 buy the right form and dose, or you’ll waste💰

Moreover, vitamin ADEK are stored in fat so l'll take my chances TYVM. * overload on vitamin D - a top nutrient to decrease your risk of dementia * daily body movement with strength training 4-5x week (him), 2-3x a week for me. * water water water and more water, very low alcohol intake: no amount is good for your skin and brain, we still enjoy a cocktail but in moderation. No more evening glass of wine for me 🍷 and the GLP has helped me with that goal to make it EFFORTLESS * we are up to date on all diagnostic imaging, Pap smear, our calcium score CT, colonoscopies, pelvic ultrasounds etc! * non smoking non vaping— I will never forget non smoking non vaping— I will never forget lungs I saw as a medical student my first year. Are you taking your supplements at the wrong time? Lots of discussion and controversy about this so I thought I would clarify this. If you are like me, and really have trouble sleeping – even the possibility of vitamin D, interfering with sleep is enough for me to switch it to morning. I love to take my magnesium at night and I make sure that I’m not having anything energizing or caffeinated close to bedtime. B vitamins, including B complex are also energizing potentially. Omega-3 and other fat soluble vitamins like A D E AND K should be taken with food with a little fat for better absorption. Magnesium glycinate is best at night. Yes if you’re taking prescription medication, you should ask your doctor when the ideal time to take them, because our circadian rhythms impact the way we metabolize our food as well as vitamins and medications. Conducted by Environment Management and Policy Research Institute (EMPRI) 400 samples from across the city for 20 varieties. The article states they gound larger amounts of toxins in leafy green vegetables Now that this study is out there will be a change. Till then Heres what we can do ➡️ Reduce green leafy vegetables or try from a place that uses hydrophonics and clean water ➡️Switch some veggies to frozen veggies for a bit maybe. Not ideal but it is what it is ➡️A study show people who have adequate b vitamins and vitamin c dont get affected as much as people who are deficient. Here checking our b12 level or taking a b complex may help ➡️Drink a good amount of water ➡️Add a good fiber source that helps the gut like chia seeds (cant say vegetables in this post !) Fiber reduces the bioavailability and absorption of toxins. Switch to high fiber foods like chola channa sprouts brown rice jowar barley etc. This automatically helps reduce the absorption ➡️Probiotics or curd for the gut ➡️Spirulina is a great addition that helps the body remove heavy metals or toxins ➡️Here the kidney and liver are already struggking to detoxify... support it by reducing your alcohol consumption, smoking etc basically reduce the other factors that stress the liver and kidney This is an example of how we can do multiple things to be healthy but we cant control everything. Since our mental health is so closely linked to our behaviors (and maybe why we have reached for alcohol in the last), we must consider this important topic as part of our alcohol-free journey. B Vitamins: the B vitamins and critical for nervous system, energy and the production of our brains feel-good neurotransmitters, like serotonin and dopamine. Hot tip 🔥 look for an active or methylated B complex for better absorption. Vitamin D (aka the sunshine vitamin): low levels have been linked with depression and poor mental health, and unfortunately deficiencies are found in about half the population. Hot tip 🔥 have your vitamins D blood levels tested to have a better understanding of how much to take (in general I typically recommend about 5,000 IU/day). Omega 3: our brain is made up of about 2/3 fat, much of which is omega 3 fats! And sadly, many people are lacking sufficient amounts of omega 3 in the diet, especially if you’re not consuming fish a few times per week. Hot tip 🔥 supplement with 1,500-2,000mg per day for maximum anti-inflammatory and anti-depressant benefits! Are you taking any of these supplements? Let me know in the comments below!
