Dry needling is a great way to release muscle tension in seconds, needle a trigger points directly, or a motor point and it resets the muscle, releases stagnation, and get circulation flowing bringing qi and blood to the area. It’s not acupuncture, as acupuncture is focused on bringing harmony to the organs and balancing yin and yang, but it speaks the same language, using the nervous system to create change fast. Dry needling doesn’t add anything to the body. It simply reminds the tissue how to relax, repair, and function again by bringing awareness. Dao needle is even more effective than dry needling, which uses a special knife needle, I do it in my private practice! Comment ‘DN’ if you want to know more about dry needling. Anyway… Quads takes a beating in runners (this guy is a runner). But this wasn’t just about releasing a tight quad. The lateral quad was holding tension through the nerve. That tension was keeping the hip flexor locked up. So instead of going straight for the iliacus, I started here. Once the quad gave in and the nerve calmed down, the iliacus let go so much easier. It’s not always about where it’s tight. It’s about what’s driving it.

Dry needling is one of the most effective physiotherapy treatments for relieving deep muscle pain and restoring movement. If you’re dealing with knee pain relief issues, muscle tightness, or recurring discomfort, the problem is often not the joint — it’s the muscle itself. Tight bands and trigger points inside the muscle can create persistent pain patterns, also known as myofascial pain syndrome. Through precise dry needling and trigger point therapy, we directly target these muscle knots to achieve real muscle knot release and improve tissue function. That small twitch response you see is called a muscle twitch response a sign that the muscle is releasing built-up tension. This process works like a deep deep tissue release, helping improve circulation, reduce inflammation, and accelerate sports injury rehab and overall rehabilitation therapy outcomes. Whether you're struggling with chronic pain relief, recovering from an injury, or looking for expert physio for knee pain, this form of pain relief therapy addresses the root cause not just the symptoms. At FlexifyMe Physiotherapy, we focus on advanced, evidence-based techniques to help you move better, feel better, and recover faster. 💬 Read the pinned comment to understand what actually happens inside your muscle during this treatment. How many Dry Needling sessions for the Trigger Point to disappear? Fresh / Acute Knot It can be visibly disappeared or frightened from one to 2 sessions Chronic node (Chronic, it's months/years): Usually you need 3-6 sessions Stubborn knot + its cause is still there (bad position, overuse, stress): Even if you cut her jaw with a needle, it comes back if the cause is not treated What is actually visible about the muscle? The needle doesn't "pull" the knot... Her: Motor end plate dysfunction: fracture local twitch response working Reduce the concentration of Substance P & CGRP blood and oxygen return → The muscle stretches and lengthens instead of shrinking ▲ Why do you sometimes disappear despite the needle? Because: Protective knot (the body is holding on to it) In a central cause (Stress / Sleep / CNS sensitization) What's in exercises + stretching after the session The patient continues the same habits. Why do you sometimes disappear despite the needle? Because: Protective knot (the body is holding on to it) In a central cause (Stress / Sleep / CNS sensitization) What's in exercises + stretching after the session The patient continues the same habits The brief summary The needle breaks the knot, but daily behavior and exercise prevent it from returning. #sabiasque #dlm #fascia #didyouknow #dryneedling

That “knot” on top of your shoulder blade that never goes away? 👉 It might not be a knot at all. This patient had been struggling with a painful, nagging spot on top of her scapula for a long time. She tried everything: ⚪ Dry needling ⚪ Deep tissue massage/Cupping ⚪ Stretching ⚪ Chiropractic ⚪ Rest Nothing worked. Here’s why: We found her spinal accessory nerve was adhered to the levator scapula, and the subtrapezial complex was stuck deep in the muscle belly on top of the scapula. This meant: The muscle was in protective guarding to shield the nerve. The “knot” sensation was actually a nerve adhesion, not a tight muscle. The more she stretched or tried to “loosen” it, the worse it got. 💡 When the real cause isn’t addressed, trying to relax a protectively guarding muscle never works. The only solution is to release the adhesion, so the nerve can glide and the muscle can finally let go. After treatment, the protective tension dropped immediately. From there, proper movement patterns and strengtheningare key to creating a long-term solution. 👉 If you’ve had a knot in your neck/shoulder that never goes away, this could be why. 💬 Drop a ❌ below if you’ve got a “knot” that never budges to see if you are a candidate.. #ShoulderPain #NeckKnots #LevatorScapula #ChronicPainRelief #AdhesionRelease

❗️Her cerrahi/invaziv işlemler her hastada farklı sonuçlar gösterebilmektedir, tedavinizin planlanması amacıyla mutlaka hekiminize muayene olmanızı önermekteyim, paylaşım bilgilendirme amaçlıdır.

Many people get nervous when they first see a needle during physiotherapy. But what surprises them is how quickly the muscle relaxes once the trigger point is released. This technique is called dry needling, and it is one of the most effective methods used in modern physiotherapy treatment to address stubborn muscle pain. Inside many painful muscles there are small tight knots called muscle trigger points. These knots restrict blood flow, irritate nerves, and often create deep aching pain that stretching alone cannot fix. During dry needling physiotherapy, a very thin sterile needle is inserted directly into the tight muscle band. When the needle touches the trigger point, the muscle produces a small twitch response. This twitch response helps the muscle fibers release tension and improves circulation in the area. Once this happens, the muscle begins to relax and the pressure inside the tissue decreases. This is why many patients feel noticeable relief in deep muscle pain immediately after the session. Trigger point therapy through dry needling is commonly used for: • Chronic neck and shoulder pain • Lower back pain • Sports injuries and muscle overload • Tennis elbow and tendon pain • Persistent tight muscles that do not respond to massage or stretching Because it directly targets muscle trigger points, this method helps achieve faster muscle knot release and improves movement patterns. For athletes and active individuals, it is also widely used for sports injury recovery, helping muscles reset and restore normal function. At FlexifyMe Physiotherapy Clinic India, dry needling is always combined with corrective movement and strengthening exercises. Releasing the knot is important, but retraining the body is what prevents the pain from coming back. If you have been struggling with stubborn muscle tightness or long-lasting pain, dry needling physiotherapy combined with expert physiotherapy treatment may be the missing step in your recovery. Shoulder tightness that won’t go away? That deep “knotted” feeling? You may be dealing with myofascial trigger points — tight, irritated muscle bands caused by: • Poor posture • Stress • Long desk hours • Overuse These trigger points restrict blood flow and create stubborn pain that stretching alone won’t fix. 💉 Dry Needling Can Help A thin, sterile needle targets the tight muscle knot directly, helping it release and “reset.” Benefits: ✔ Relieves deep muscle tension ✔ Improves circulation ✔ Reduces inflammation ✔ Restores shoulder mobility ✔ Decreases pain naturally Best results happen when combined with corrective physical therapy to fix posture, weakness, and muscle imbalances — so the pain doesn’t keep coming back. If your shoulder has been tight for weeks or months, don’t ignore it. Comment “HEALTH” or DM us to schedule your session. #sabiasque #dlm #fascia #didyouknow #dryneedling
