I really believed if I just “managed everything better” I wouldn’t feel burnt out. But the truth is… balancing work, motherhood, health, and everyday life is a lot. Some days I feel like I’m crushing it. Some days I’m deep breathing in the car before walking into the house. Both versions of me are doing her best. What I have learned through all of it.. If I let the parts that feel like “me” slip away - in my case health and movement, everything else crumbles. So I try my best to make time for meaningful movement and healthy choices each day - that way I feel more prepared to tackle everything else life throws at me! Tag a strong mom friend or send this to one who needs the reminder. 🩷Being a mom is something I dreamed of becoming since I was a little girl. I was blessed with two beautiful pregnancies, and honestly… I loved being pregnant. Growing a human is one of the most incredible and rewarding things our bodies can do. And don’t even get me started on giving birth. What our bodies endure… and then how quickly we’re expected to bounce back. The sleepless nights. The mental load. The new responsibilities that stack up overnight. Motherhood is hard. It’s messy. It’s joyful and heartbreaking all at the same time. This body has grown humans. It stretched, changed, endured, and gave everything to bring two little boys into this world. And then life keeps moving. I work full time. My boys have been in daycare since they were babies. Like so many moms, I’ve had to learn how to carry a lot. But somewhere along the way you realize something important… No one is coming to save us. So we show up for ourselves. At the gym. At the track. In our lives. We fight to get our pink back. To rebuild our strength. To become the strongest version of ourselves again. Not because it’s easy… but because our kids are watching. And I want my boys to grow up knowing that strength doesn’t just look like muscles. Sometimes it looks like a mom who never gives up. I couldn’t be more proud of the woman I’ve become.
