Why all of these were complete myths: ❌ Hours of crunches to flatten your stomach: You can't spot-reduce fat. Abs are made in the kitchen through caloric deficit, not endless crunches. Crunches strengthen your core, but they don't burn the fat covering it. ❌ Cutting carbs at night because they turn to fat: Your body doesn't have a magical clock that converts carbs to fat after 6pm. What matters is your TOTAL daily calorie intake, not the timing. If you're in a caloric deficit, you'll lose fat regardless of when you eat carbs. ❌ Wearing hoodies to sweat more = more fat loss: Sweating is your body cooling itself down, NOT fat melting off. You're losing water weight that comes right back when you rehydrate. Fat loss happens through a caloric deficit over time, not through sweating. ❌ Thermogenics and fat-burning supplements: Most fat burners are overpriced caffeine pills with minimal impact. They might give you energy or slightly increase your metabolism, but they won't do the work for you. Fat loss still comes down to calories in vs calories out + proper training. ❌ Eliminating sweets completely to lose weight: You don't need to cut out your favorite foods entirely. Flexible dieting works - as long as you're in a caloric deficit and hitting your protein goals, you can include treats in moderation. Extreme restriction usually leads to binging and quitting.
