This helps you stay consistent in the gym and consistency is the most important thing.⁠ ⁠ 💪🏾 It’s attainable.⁠ You shouldn’t be training from a 4-5 day program when you can only make it to the gym 2-3x a week. Find a 2-3 day program to make sure you’re accomplishing what you need to. Not to mention, it helps with positive reinforcement.⁠ ⁠ 🧘🏾‍♀️ Allow time for recovery.⁠ If you go as hard as you can every day without allowing yourself proper rest, you won’t be able to push as hard. Give yourself a day or 2 in between the workouts to allow time for recovery so you can go back and hit the gym hard again! Have you heard of velocity based training? Velocity based training is using a device (@flex.stronger in this case) to measure bar speed. This is a unique way to measure progressive overload by quantifying how quickly you are performing reps of an exercise across an individual set, a complete work out and over the course of multiple weeks. I have been using Flex by @gymaware to monitor the speed of my primary working sets across four movements Hang Clean Power Clean Deadlift Squat Using flex to monitor bar speed for the course of an 8 week training block made it easy to identify the specific training adaptation I was working towards. The primary focus over the 8 weeks was strength, keeping the bar moving between 0.4 and 0.75 m/s At the end of the 8 weeks I set an all time person best on the trap bar deadlift. Not only did Flex make training more specific, immediately feedback improved my lifts within each training session.
