This is something we have been talking about in Corefit lately. A lot of women think they’re building muscle… but they’re actually just chasing the burn. It’s important to know those are NOT the same thing. That shaky, burning feeling from pulses, tiny movements, and super high reps? �That’s muscular fatigue. You’ll feel tired.�You’ll sweat.�You’ll feel “worked.” But feeling exhausted isn’t automatically what changes your body. Muscle growth comes from giving the muscle a reason to adapt. And that happens when you challenge it with:�✔️ controlled reps�✔️ intentional tempo�✔️ proper form�✔️ resistance that actually pushes you Training to failure doesn’t mean collapsing on the floor and NO it won’t make you bulky 😘. It means getting to the point where the muscle physically cannot produce another clean rep with good form. Not because it burns.�Not because you’re uncomfortable.�Not because you’re mentally over it. Because the muscle literally tapped out. That’s where growth happens.�That’s where strength is built.�That’s what creates the defined, “toned” look so many women are chasing. And no — you do NOT need to destroy yourself with endless reps to get there. Honestly, 6-10 reps is the sweet spot. You need structure.�You need progression.�You need to actually challenge the muscle instead of just tiring it out.
