💬 Comment “Foods” and I’ll send you my weekly grocery staples list. As an endocrinologist, these are 3 foods I eat almost every day to support hormones, metabolism, and lower inflammation 👩‍⚕️✨ 🫐 Frozen wild blueberries → packed with antioxidants and may have higher anthocyanin levels than standard blueberries. 🥬 Red (purple) cabbage → rich in fiber and polyphenols that support gut health, estrogen metabolism, and insulin sensitivity. 🫒 Extra virgin olive oil → linked to better insulin signaling, heart health, and lower inflammation. These aren’t trendy “superfoods” — they’re simple, evidence-based staples I come back to again and again for blood sugar balance and long-term health. ROUND 3: What are some of your weirdest #perimenopause symptoms? 😵‍💫 Hormonal fluctuations during perimenopause can create a cascade of symptoms that may feel completely unrelated. Which is exactly why so many women are told that what they are experiencing is ‘just stress’. 🙄 When our hormone fluctuate, the nervous system becomes more reactive, inflammation increases, & symptoms start popping up in places you’d never expect. Here are some of the most common symptoms we hear from our perimenopause patients… 👉🏻 Driving anxiety 👉🏻 Frozen shoulder 👉🏻 Idiopathic hives (hives w/o allergy) 👉🏻 Vertigo 👉🏻 Globus Sensation 👉🏻 Plantar fasciitis 👉🏻 Internal Tremors 👉🏻 Restless leg syndrome 👉🏻 Heart palpitations 👉🏻 Itchy ears 👉🏻 Brain zaps 👉🏻 Phantom smells (Do any of these sound like you? 🥹) These symptoms are truly just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to perimenopause, and these symptoms aren’t just ‘in your head’. These symptoms are real & they matter! ✍🏻 Comment ‘WEIRD’ if you want to see the full list of weird perimenopause symptoms, and I will message you our ‘perimenopause symptom quiz’ with over 100 symptoms! 👀 🩺📲 If you’re in the US and you’re at all curious about exploring hormone therapy to help manage your symptoms, we would love to work with you. One week transformation and the only thing that changed…. Day 1 of my period vs the week after my period aka the period caused the transformation - this is something I used to struggle with so I wanted to talk about it! (Side note: wearing @aybl in both as regardless a matching gym outfit makes me feel a little more confident - code ‘KATIE’ to save and support as always) Our bodies are meant to fluctuate it is NORMAL 👏 you don’t suddenly get ‘fat’ and ‘bloated’ and have gained a tone of weight, you naturally as your hormones shift to bleed retain water all over and especially in your tummy, so you will look watery, less defined and feel bloated as there is more pressure and all sorts going on with your insides that week obvs, and not only that you feel sluggish, tired and hungry and that’s because your body is using and needs more energy for this process… The two weeks that follow that week tho you will look leaner, feel tighter, defined, less puffy, but also energised, confident and so much better in yourself and that’s the thing - be aware of your cycles, how your body changes, your energy, your mood and all of it and work with your body not against it!! It’s normal to fluctuate no matter how lean and fit you are it happens to us all as healthy women ❤️xx #hormonehealth #womenshealth #femaleathlete #fitnesstransformation

Dark showering is one of my favorite simple rituals I recommend to all of our telehealth patients who are struggling with nervous-system overload, poor sleep, or that constant “wired but tired” feeling. By turning off the lights and showering in complete (or near-complete) darkness, you shut down visual noise—the relentless stream of bright screens, overhead lights, and environmental stimuli that keeps your sympathetic nervous system on high alert all day. This rapid drop in visual input signals safety to your brain, quickly shifting you into parasympathetic rest-and-digest mode, lowering cortisol, and allowing melatonin production to begin earlier in the evening. To deepen the sensory reset, add a few drops of calming lavender, pine, ylang ylang or eucalyptus essential oil or a handful of fresh eucalyptus or lavender leaves right under the shower stream—the warm water releases their therapeutic compounds, creating an aromatherapy steam that further calms the nervous system while supporting respiratory and skin health. If total pitch black feels too intense at first, simply light one small candle on the counter; the soft flicker is still gentle enough to keep visual stimulation minimal. After your dark shower, I love sipping my favorite evening mocktail that doubles as my nervous-system support and skin-and-hair nourishment. — Comment CALM below in the comments and I’ll send you an article with the exact mocktail recipe I use. #ArtOfBeingWell

There’s so much noise right now around peptides and biohacking in the health space… Are they good? Are they safe? Do they actually work? Here’s the truth… they can be powerful. But if your cellular health is off, you’re missing the foundation. I’m so excited to have my friend, Dylan Gemelli, on the show! We break down what’s really driving fatigue, hormone issues, and long-term health decline. We talk about the role of mitochondria, why stress and sleep matter more than people think, how nutrient deficiencies can throw everything off, and how to use peptides like NAD and BPC-157 the right way. Fix the foundation first… and these tools can become game changers. Comment ‘338’ and I’ll send you the episode link! #longevity #hormonehealth #biohacking #peptides #drjoshaxe

Do you have any of these 6 signs? 👇🤯 If you’ve been struggling with stubborn weight or skin issues, your body might be trying to tell you something. Most people ignore these signs or think they are just “aging,” but they are actually classic indicators of high insulin levels: 1️⃣ Swollen feet/water retention 2️⃣ Double chin or neck fat 3️⃣ Stubborn belly fat (visceral fat) 4️⃣ Dark patches on the neck/armpits 5️⃣ Skin tags 6️⃣ Female pattern hair loss If you are seeing these physical signs, it’s not because you aren’t trying hard enough. It’s likely because you are Insulin Resistant. When your insulin is constantly high, your body enters “storage mode.” It locks fat away (especially in the belly and neck) and creates inflammation that leads to skin tags and swelling. You don’t need another calorie deficit. You need to lower your insulin. I share the natural protocol to fix this from the inside out. Drop a “YES” in the comments if you’re ready to fix the root cause 💕 #insulinresistance #metabolichealth #bloodsugarbalance #pcosweightloss #hormonehealth acanthosisnigricans skintagsremoval visceralfat stubbornbellyfat prediabetes

1. Train hard 7 days a week 2. Ignore low energy and call it “discipline” 3. Undereat to stay lean 4. Train the same through every phase of my cycle 5. Treat recovery like weakness I used to think being tough meant overriding every signal my body gave me. That mindset helped me become a UFC champion. It also taught me the hard way that pushing harder isn’t always pushing smarter. Now? I train differently. I recover differently. And honestly… I’m stronger because of it. Your body isn’t asking you to quit. It’s asking you to adapt. 💪 #TrainSmart #WomensHealth #HormoneHealth #UFC #MMA
