my hack for instant independence on assignments because I was tired of trying to drag everyone through the mud during whole group assignments. You know…some kids finishing quickly and others needing the extra time, but you have to read the directions because kindergarteners can’t read that level of text. Literally drives me crazy! So I started ditching worksheet assignments that requires reading and instead assign a Boddle assignment instead. Students can work at their own pace, have the question read to them, and it’s completely gamified, which makes students feel like they are playing instead of completing an assignment. I also love how the reports are ready for me to view and cuts down on grading.
