Early Rehab After MPFL Reconstruction (Weeks 0–2) In the immediate post-operative phase, the goals are to protect the graft, control swelling, and begin restoring neuromuscular control. ✅ Slides to 90° – Facilitates early ROM while respecting graft healing tension. ✅ Quadriceps activation & full knee extension – Prevents extensor lag and helps maintain patellar tracking. ✅ Straight leg raise – Strengthens the quadriceps without excessive patellofemoral stress. (depends on surgery technique, always contact your physiotherapist/surgeon if it is allowed!) ✅ Ankle circles & ankle pumps – Promotes circulation, reduces edema and helps prevent DVT. 🎯RECONSTRUÇÃO DO LIGAMENTO PATELOFEMORAL + OSTEOTOMIA DE MEDIALIZAÇÃO DA TUBEROSIDADE ANTERIOR DA TÍBIA 🦿🦴 🔹 Por que limitamos a flexão do joelho nas primeiras semanas após a reconstrução do MPFL + osteotomia da TAT? 🔹 Após esse tipo de cirurgia, é comum o(a) paciente iniciar o pós-operatório com restrição da flexão do joelho, geralmente até 90° nas primeiras 3 a 4 semanas. Mas por quê? 👉 1. Proteção do enxerto do MPFL: O ligamento patelofemoral medial foi reconstruído para estabilizar a patela e evitar luxações. A flexão do joelho em excesso nas primeiras semanas pode gerar tensão sobre o enxerto, especialmente se ainda estiver em processo de integração ao osso. Restringir a flexão ajuda a proteger essa estrutura e garantir uma boa cicatrização. 👉 2. Preservação da fixação óssea da TAT: A osteotomia da tuberosidade anterior da tíbia envolve o reposicionamento ósseo com fixação por parafusos. Movimentos amplos de flexão, especialmente em cadeia fechada, podem gerar forças excessivas na região, comprometendo a estabilidade da fixação. 👉 3. Controle da dor e do edema: Nos primeiros dias, é natural o joelho estar inchado e dolorido. A restrição temporária de amplitude ajuda a reduzir o desconforto e melhora a progressão funcional. 🎥 No vídeo, mostramos a paciente realizando flexão ativa até 90°, respeitando o limite seguro e controlado para essa fase da reabilitação. ⚠️ Cada cirurgia tem suas particularidades.
