Here’s why thumbs up 👍🏼 or down 👎🏼 Let’s talk simple swaps that actually make a difference over time! These are 4 of my go-to examples from the bag I bring to workshops + classes 👇🏼 1. Traditional brands of chips (Lay’s, Ruffles, Doritos)👎🏻are loaded with additives and flavor enhancers like MSG (designed to keep you reaching for more), plus artificial dyes in some cases. Swap 👍🏼: Boulder Canyon or Siete with fewer ingredients + cooked in avocado oil instead of inflammatory oils. Doritos are the worst offenders overall! 2. Ritz Bits sandwiches 👎🏼 These still contain hydrogenated oils 😳 a type of fat linked to increased inflammation and heart health concerns (these are the ones we want to fully avoid and are *allegedly* being removed from all foods!) Swap 👍🏼: Trader Joe’s version 👉🏻still a packaged snack, but no hydrogenated fats + organic ingredients help reduce pesticide exposure. 3. Tomato sauce 👎🏼 Brands like Prego + Ragu often have surprisingly high added sugar (not something we need in pasta sauce 🙃). Swap 👍🏼: Rao’s or Victoria from Costco 👉🏻 real ingredients, no added sugar, no unnecessary additives, and no inflammatory oils. 4. Wheat Thins 👎🏼 Contain seed oils + BHT (a preservative used to extend shelf life that’s been linked to potential hormone disruption. It’s only in the packaging but still!) Swap 👍🏼: Mary’s Gone Crackers or Simple Mills - simple ingredients (you can actually read them), plus added fiber. None of this is about perfection. We still do packaged foods, we still eat out, and my kids definitely still grab less than stellar snacks! 🙋🏻‍♀️ But these small, repeat swaps add up over time - helping reduce our exposure to additives, ultra-processed ingredients, added sugar, and even pesticide residue. Almost everything on the shelves is made up of additives, gums, seed oils, preservatives, dyes - things your body doesn’t recognize as real food. And the hard truth is… if you don’t check, you’ll never know. We’re not doing this to be extreme or “perfect.” We just got tired of eating things that left us feeling bloated, tired, and off… and when we started paying attention to ingredients, everything changed. As always, the goal isn’t perfection, it’s awareness. We’re not perfect with this, but we don’t need to be… we just need to try! S/o to the brands that do it right. The ones using real, whole ingredients. The ones that actually care about what they’re putting into people’s bodies. They truly make this lifestyle possible. With summer just around the corner it’s the perfect time to start locking in👙 🥩One of the easiest ways to clean up your diet is choosing fresh meat instead of packaged processed meat. 🫣Pre packaged (pre-sliced, deli style, or heavily packaged cuts) is loaded with added sodium, preservatives, and chemical used to extend shelf life and enhance flavor. 🧂That means in a very small portion of meat, you are getting hundreds & thousands of milligrams of extra sodium and additives that are so unhealthy for you. 👉For women especially — excess sodium and additives increases bloating, water retention, and inflammation, which makes you body look squishy & weight loss harder. ✅Fresh meat on the other hand is exactly what your body wants: ✔ Pure protein ✔ No hidden ingredients ✔ Naturally lower sodium ✔ Better for hormone balance and overall health Simple grocery rule🛒 👉If the ingredient list is longer than one word… put it back. ✅Your best choice will almost always be the fresh. 💪Small swaps like this add up to a leaner, healthier body over time. But not every sausage is created equally. 😉 Just because it says chicken, turkey, or “egg white” doesn’t mean it’s automatically lean. 🙅‍♀️ Some "healthy" options can actually have more fat than protein per link! How to outsmart the label: 1️⃣ Flip it over: Ignore the front-of-pack claims. 2️⃣ Fat:Protein rule: Look for options where the protein grams are higher than the fat grams. 3️⃣ Watch the "Sneaky” Fats: Some brands use heavy amounts of oil or skin to keep pre-cooked sausages moist, which can double the calorie count. Amylu and Sabatino’s are my winners! Have you tried these? Do you have a better recommendation I should try?

Healthier Potato Chip Swap ✅ Potato chips are potato chips, but there’s better options at the grocery store. Buying a chip cooked with avocado oil or beef tallow is going to be better for you than a chip fried in seed oils (sunflower, canola, rice bran etc) Seed oils are chemically unstable relative to monounsaturated and saturated fats and are far more prone to oxidation when exposed to heat, light, and oxygen. Chips that are fried are never going to be “optimal” for your health, but choosing ones without seed oils is a much better option ✅ —- #healthyswaps #seedoils #beeftallow #realfood #wholefoods
