I spent 2 YEARS doing it wrong. 😫 Hours on the treadmill. Spin classes. Running until I was exhausted. I thought cardio was the key to fat loss. I was wrong. Here’s what I was doing vs what I SHOULD have been doing: **❌ WHAT I DID: HOURS OF CARDIO** Running, elliptical, spin classes, 5-6 days a week. I was EXHAUSTED. **✅ WHAT I SHOULD’VE DONE: STRENGTH TRAINING** 2-3 times per week, 20 minutes each. That’s it. After months of cardio: Soft, tired, frustrated, no results. After strength training: Toned, strong, energized, 50 lbs down. That said… **You need BOTH cardio and strength.** But if you only have time for ONE (because you’re a busy mom with 20 minutes), choose STRENGTH TRAINING. Why? Because muscle burns fat 24/7. Cardio only burns fat while you’re doing it. So start lifting weights (or using your bodyweight). Your future self will thank you. Want to look toned, not just skinny? Want energy, not exhaustion? Trust me, we can work the whole body in just 10 minutes! 🔥 AND keep it all low impact! ☀️ Step jumps: (you can modify this to a step back to minimise impact and reduce intensity) ☀️Lateral squats: so good for targeting the deep glutes and entire lower body! Hamstrings, quads, pelvic stabilisers etc ☀️Mountain climbers: this is a complete core exercise and brings in a little cardio 😅 ☀️Push taps: great for the upper body, working the chest, biceps, triceps, shoulders and the upper back! ☀️ Bench taps: working the upper body and the core simultaneously. ☀️ Split squats: working single side in this way means we really target the deep glutes and whole lower body. You can place both feet on the ground and practice sit to standing to modify the exercise. It will work similar muscles but reduce the exercise intensity. ☀️Single leg squats: A small but effective exercise to work the lower body and challenge our balance! ☀️ Cycles: An abdominal exercise that works core strength and stability at the same time. Try each exercise for 1 minute with 15 seconds rest between exercises for a 10 minute whole body workout! 😃👍🏾 Enjoy!
