👉 READ HERE This is your reminder to STOP panicking when your body looks different during your periods 🤍 Because no… you did not suddenly gain “3 kg of fat” overnight. What you’re seeing is usually: -water retention -inflammation -bloating -slower digestion -hormonal fluctuations And this phase actually starts BEFORE your periods… during your luteal phase. That’s why many girls notice: -swollen face, puffier eyes, lower belly bloating, softer stomach, higher scale weight, more cravings, dull skin, feeling heavier overall Your hormones naturally shift during this phase. Progesterone rises, digestion slows, water retention increases, and inflammation becomes higher. So please stop punishing your body for doing something NORMAL. This is exactly why harder workouts right before your periods can sometimes make you feel even worse. And once your period phase passes, most of that puffiness and water retention naturally reduces again 🤍 BUT… if these symptoms stay for all 4 weeks of the month… that is NOT normal and should be taken seriously. it can be signs of: -high cortisol -inflammation -insulin resistance -PCOS/PCOD hormone imbalance Comment “HELP” and I’ll send you the exact guides that help fix the ROOT cause instead of just hiding the symptoms Follow @nainaliftss to receive the whole guide 🦋 #pcos #pcod #periods #menstrualcycle

If you’re sitting here thinking losing weight with PCOS is impossible, you were me three years ago. I truly believed that because I had PCOS, losing weight just was not going to happen for me. I’m here to tell you it’s not impossible. It may be harder, yes, but it is not impossible. PCOS can complicate things and everyone’s body is different. What works for one person may not work for another. But do not let the idea that something is hard make you give up before you even try. #pcos #pcosweightloss #pcosweightlossjourney #weightlossmotivation #weightlosstransformation

They finally changed the name. And the reason why matters more than you think. PCOS — polycystic ovary syndrome — was officially renamed PMOS today. Polyendocrine METABOLIC ovarian syndrome. That one word — METABOLIC — changes everything. The old name implied the problem was cysts on your ovaries. But most women with this condition don’t even have cysts. The real drivers are hormonal dysregulation, metabolic dysfunction, and insulin resistance. I’ve been saying this for months. Insulin is at the root of so much that gets mislabeled, misdiagnosed, or dismissed. The new name was published today in The Lancet (a well known and respected peer reviewed medical journal), based on input from more than 50 leading organizations and 22,000 people over 11 years. For too long, the old name reduced a complex hormonal disorder to a misunderstanding about cysts — and that contributed to missed diagnoses and inadequate treatment. If you’ve been told you have PCOS — ask your doctor about your insulin levels. Fasting insulin. Optimal is 2–6 uIU/mL. Most doctors never order it. The name just caught up to what the biology has been telling us all along. Send this to a woman who has been managing PCOS and never once had her insulin tested. 💙 For more information on how I’m reversing my insulin resistance in real time check out my Free 12 Signs of Insulin Resistance Checklist + 25 Biohacks + The Full Insulin Reset Protocol at the 🔗 in my bio or the link below stan.store/myinsulinreset #PMOS #PCOS #insulinresistance #metabolichealth #womenshealth40s reverseinsulinresistance

Save this for your next core day! This is Part 2 of the routine I’ve been following, especially on days when I don’t feel like doing floor workouts. Keep your core tight throughout each movement. If you’re not engaging it, you’re not feeling it. – Around the world (10 each side) – Weighted marches (30 seconds) – Oblique drops (10 each side) – Weighted crossbody crunches (30 seconds) Repeat 3 times and finish with an incline walk. Important: This wouldn’t be possible without being in a calorie deficit. The workouts help #fitness #pcos #weightloss #pcosweightloss #viral

@drhazelwallace
PCOS has officially been renamed to Polyendocrine Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome (PMOS) 🗞️ and as a doctor living with it, here’s how I feel about the change 👀 For years, the term PCOS (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome) has caused confusion because not everyone with PCOS have “cysts” and having polycystic ovaries doesn’t necessarily mean you have PCOS. The old name also doesn’t fully capture the hormonal, metabolic, and whole-body nature of the condition, including insulin resistance and the long-term health implications that can come with it 🫀 So in many ways, PMOS is a more accurate and inclusive reflection of what this condition actually is and as someone living with PCOS, I feel grateful (& relieved) to see it finally recognised as a whole-body condition, rather than being reduced to just the ovaries or fertility 🥹 Hopefully this shift helps improve understanding, research and the care women receive. At the same time, it’s taken years to build awareness around the term PCOS, so some confusion is inevitable initially, especially for people newly diagnosed or searching for information and support ♥️ For those of us who have lived with the term PCOS for years, it also might feel a little strange and unfamiliar to let the name go. It’s important to know that not much will change overnight. Your symptoms, diagnosis and treatment options remain the same, and there will be a transition period where both names are used alongside each other while healthcare systems, guidelines and education catch up 🫶 Overall I think this is the right step and a positive step in the right direction but I would love to know how you feel about the name change? 💬 #PCOS #PMOS #womenshealthmatters

PCOS said: “Here’s a beard.” The UK playground said: “Absolutely not.” And I said: “Pass the pani puri.” I was 11 when my moustache started growing! By 16, I knew depression & Anxiety personally. Now? I build pani puri and self-worth at the same time. Potatoes = resilience. Spice = bullying. Tamarind = the sweetness I forgot I deserved. Spicy pani = anxiety that accidentally built character. Let’s address the elephant in the room though… Why does facial hair on a woman make people more uncomfortable than cruelty? I’m a British Woman, and because of PCOS, I have a beard. UK crew, talk to me: Should women with PCOS feel pressured to remove facial hair? And what “difference” did you turn into power? Save this for the days you forget who you are. Share this with someone who needs some motivation. ✨ Poll me this: Should women remove facial hair? #pcos #mentalhealth #uk #woman #indian

Apart from being a group 1 carcinogen, depression, weight gain, anxiety, mood changes, headaches, vaginal dryness, nausea, and on long term use; blood clots, increased risk of stroke, liver issues are only some of the side effects. I feel advising birth control pills, after making patients wait in the OPDs for hours without suggesting the other person regarding lifestyle changes is just lazy advice. The problem is not the pill, how it is prescribed is. In extreme cases it definitely does help, but the patient should be informed about its side effects and all the alternatives. . . . #pcos #pcosweightloss #birthcontrolpills #pcosawareness #womenshealth
