Sometimes the first signs of hormone imbalance don’t show up in reports. They show up on your face. Thyroid issues, high prolactin, insulin resistance, high androgens, and elevated cortisol can all subtly affect your skin, puffiness, pigmentation, acne patterns, and facial fat distribution. These changes often appear quietly and are easy to dismiss as “just skin issues,” but the root may be metabolic or hormonal. Understanding these signs early can help you take the right steps with nutrition, lifestyle, and medical guidance before symptoms progress. If you have been noticing unexplained changes in your face, your body may be asking for deeper support. 💬 Comment YES if you want help improving your hormones, metabolism, and overall health the right way. . . . . . . ⚠️Disclaimer: This content is for educational purposes only and does not replace medical advice. Comment “guide” and I’ll send you the waitlist for the Muslimah’s PCOS Reset Guide Make sure to follow me otherwise Instagram won't allow me to send a DM I struggled with irregular periods for YEARS… making dua to Allah for my PCOS. 🤲 Every month, I looked at the calendar hoping my periods will come soon. Every month, I felt frustrated, tired, and unheard. My periods only came every 110 days. I remember making dua in sujood, "Ya Allh please finally give me my periods" Then I remembered the Hadith of the Messenger ﷺ: “Tie her (the camel) and trust in Allah.” [Sunan al-Tirmidhī 2517] I realised PCOS is not just about fertility It’s a full-body hormonal and metabolic issue. So I combined my firm trust in Allah with action: • Balancing my blood sugar • Managing stress • Nourishing my body • Moving daily ➡️ Supporting my hormones with the right habits Slowly, Alhamdulillah, my cycles became more regular. Now my periods come every 30-40 days, Alhamdulillah. Healing PCOS takes patience, consistency, and trust in Allah. If I was able to manage my symptoms, you can too 🫶 I'm releasing the Muslimah's PCOS Reset Guide soon, where I share the exact habits and lifestyle changes that helped me reverse my symptoms. 💌 Comment “guide” and I’ll send you the waitlist. (Release is soon 👀) 📌 Save this as a reminder that improvement is possible 🫶 Follow for simple and realistic PCOS tips __ Muslimah with PCOS | Insulin Resistance | High Androgen | High Cortisol | Muslim Women | Muslim Communities | Muslim Girls Education | Menstrual Cycle | Periods | Hormonal Imbalance | PCOS | PCOS Awareness | PCOS Support | Muslimah | Weight Loss | Fertility | Birth Control | Women with PCOS #PCOS #PCOSAwareness #PCOSSupport #Muslimah

Share to help spread PCOS awareness. It’s estimated that PCOS occurs in up to 20% of all women, yet only 50% are diagnosed! Pretty mind boggling considering it’s the #1 endocrine condition affecting women. There are several sets of diagnostic criteria, but most experts use Rotterdam. You need to have 2 out of the 3 criteria in order to be diagnosed: 1️⃣Irregular periods
2️⃣High levels of testosterone and/or clinical signs of it (hair growth, hair loss, acne) 3️⃣Polycystic ovaries on ultrasound or high levels of AMH (the AMH part is new - was just added this year) *can’t be on hormonal birth control to be diagnosed 👀Confused and overwhelmed with your PCOS? One of my MOST asked questions is this: How do you manage your PCOS symptoms and support healing? 🤔 you might know that I’ve struggled with PCOS for years, and I thought I’d share four ways that have supported my own healing and helped manage my symptoms. 🤍 But first, I want you to know this: If you’re struggling with PCOS, you are NOT alone and it is NOT your fault. advocating for PCOS awareness has become a huge pillar of my work, and I am beyond honored to join @allarahealth as an Advisor to support community growth and help more women heal their PCOS 🥹 thank you Allara team and @rachelhblank I am thrilled to join your incredible work! PCOS HEALING TIPS 🫶🏼 1) low-intensity exercise, and movement that feels great to you! you don’t need to sweat to get a “good” workout, and gentle movement can still provide you with the benefits of exercise without spiking your cortisol (crucial to manage when healing your PCOS) 2) get your seeds in! Seeds like hemp, chia, or flax are great plant-based sources of omega 3s, which are anti-inflammatory, and contain lots of minerals like magnesium, which help cramps & support relaxation. I love adding hemp seeds to my oatmeal, salads, toasts, and even hummus! Chia seeds are excellent in pudding, in coconut yogurt, and sprinkled on top of guacamole! (thanks @carolynbrownie for this tip!) 3) prioritizing mindfulness, positive self-talk and stress reduction. PCOS is not your fault, and blaming / shaming your body will not support your healing. Know that you are not alone, and that the way you speak to yourself and your body is extremely important in your journey with PCOS (and honestly, life)! 4) enjoying nourishing meals with whole, real, unprocessed ingredients. dessert too, obviously. (I can help with this)!! let me know if you want more PCOS tips! #dadaeats #pcos #pcosawareness #pcosdiet #pcosfighter #healthyrecipes #healthyfood #holisticnutrition #holistichealth

Read till the end. To maximize pregnancy chances, please focus on these: 1️⃣ Normal periods don’t mean metabolic health—fasting insulin (not just glucose), HbA1c & triglycerides quietly decide egg quality long before PCOS is diagnosed. 2️⃣ Low ferritin, and B12 are treated as ‘common in India’ (because many of us are vegetarians) but they directly impair ovulation, implantation & early placental development. 3️⃣ Thyroid reports marked ‘normal’ miss early autoimmunity, poor T4->T3 conversion & inflammation that blocks conception even with regular cycles. 4️⃣ Late dinners (how many of us eat at 9pm pr after?), carb-heavy meals & poor sleep spike cortisol and insulin—creating a hormonal environment where conception struggles to stick. 5️⃣ What clinics rarely test: mitochondrial energy, oxidative stress & nutrient delivery to the ovaries—because eggs don’t fail due to age alone, they fail due to poor cellular fuel. In India, fertility doesn’t fail suddenly—it erodes silently. Functional medicine catches it early. 📲 Talk to us if you’d like to know more about how you can improve your fertility journey. +91 9867337112 (WhatsApp only) #fertilityawareness #functionalmedicineindia #healthyconception fertility journey, egg quality, hormonal health, insulin resistance, thyroid health, PCOS awareness, nutrient deficiencies, ovulation health, women’s wellness, preconception care, sepalika fertility clinic, explore

Relate much? PCOS isn’t just “irregular periods.” It’s due to hormonal imbalance that can affect your skin, weight, mood, fertility, and overall health. The tricky part? Many women live with it for years without knowing, often brushing off the signs as “normal.” But here’s the truth: early diagnosis and lifestyle changes can make a big difference. From the right diet and exercise to medical guidance, you can manage PCOS and take control of your health. Let’s talk openly about it because silence only makes it harder. Rating foods for PCOS because what you eat can really make a difference!!✨ If you have PCOS, the goal is to choose foods that help balance hormones, reduce inflammation, and keep blood sugar stable. Instead of highly processed foods or too much sugar, try including more whole and nourishing foods in your daily meals. Some of the best foods for PCOS include: 🥑 Healthy fats like avocado, nuts, and seeds 🥦 Fibre-rich vegetables like broccoli, spinach, and leafy greens 🥚 Good quality protein like eggs, paneer, tofu, chicken, or fish 🍓 Low-GI fruits like berries, apple, and pear 🌾 Whole grains like quinoa, oats, and brown rice These foods help with better insulin balance, improved energy levels, and even clearer skin over time. PCOS doesn’t mean you have to restrict everything, it’s about making smarter, balanced choices most of the time💚 Save this reel for the next time you’re planning your meals!
