Apart from being a group 1 carcinogen, depression, weight gain, anxiety, mood changes, headaches, vaginal dryness, nausea, and on long term use; blood clots, increased risk of stroke, liver issues are only some of the side effects. I feel advising birth control pills, after making patients wait in the OPDs for hours without suggesting the other person regarding lifestyle changes is just lazy advice. The problem is not the pill, how it is prescribed is. In extreme cases it definitely does help, but the patient should be informed about its side effects and all the alternatives. . . . #pcos #pcosweightloss #birthcontrolpills #pcosawareness #womenshealth
