🤍🤍🤍 We often focus on the “end shape” of an exercise, but the transition into it matters just as much. It’s where we build control, coordination, and true full body connection. Smooth, intentional transitions aren’t just aesthetic, they’re a sign of deeper strength and understanding. From tight to open. From low to lifted. From grounded to standing. The beauty isn’t just in the shapes it’s in how you arrive there. #pilates #pilatesforlife #pilatesteacher #pilatesflow #reformerflow

Feeling nerdy lately and obsessed with movement profiles. If you’ve trained with me, you already know this is my love language. 💕 This week it’s side angles and all the side-body good stuff. What are we after? Lateral stability, deep core strength, and spinal control. This is the stuff that changes how your body holds itself all day long. Yesterday turned into something that felt more like choreography than a workout. Side bends into kicks into leg pulls. flowing, precise, intentional. But today my waistline can confirm it worked. Sometimes the most powerful training session isn’t the heaviest one. It’s the most deliberate one. What are you exploring in your movement practice right now? 👇 #pilatesinstructor #pilatesreformer #reformerchoreography

Fun little flow I taught this morning ✨ I tend to build my classes around similar movement patterns (with some variation), because I believe there’s real power in repetition done with intention. Of course, when I film I demonstrate the most advanced progressions, but in class, it’s never about that. What I’ve come to notice is that most people walk in underestimating themselves. And honestly, that’s my favorite part of this work; guiding people, even just for 50 minutes, to access strength and control that was already there… just waiting to be tapped into. This move looks deceptively simple but requires a lot of strength and balance. Joseph called this exercise “Teaser” because this is a movement that combines many Pilates principles at once: core strength, balance, control, and coordination. If you practice classical mat or reformer, this move shows up a little later in the sequence because it challenges the body to integrate everything learned earlier in the workout. Now you know why we often do this move in my classes (and why I love it) - I even named my studio after it 🧡 Who’s ready to get back into some teasers this week? 🙌 #pilates #reformerpilates #pilatesinstructor

Full Body Flow from last week ✨ Think balance, control & stability on a blue or high yellow spring… spicyyy 🌶️ A true full-body burn — core, shoulders, triceps, glutes, hammies & quads all working together, not in isolation. It’s all about intention, precision, alignment & control. Slow it down, connect to your body & feel the difference ✨ No weights needed, just control 🤍 If you need some inspo give it a go & tag me if you try it 🫶🏻 #coreflowpilates #reformerpilates #reformerflow #pilatesprinciples #mindfulmovement

Is your exercise aligned with your purpose in class? Today mine was simple: opening the lower back. Why? Because I wanted to improve Teaser. Sometimes what looks like a small intention at the beginning of class is actually laying the foundation for something much bigger later. When I plan a session, I’m not thinking in isolated muscle groups. From beginning to end, there should be integration. Otherwise… it’s not even “contemporary Pilates.” It’s just a workout on the Reformer. That’s why certain skills show up first in a breakdown— so we can understand the cues, organize the body, and build the coordination that the system asks of us. And then suddenly you see it appear again: • Elephant • Teaser • Short Box Round Back • Tendon Stretch Different exercises. Same conversation in the body. The list goes on. ✨ I’d love to see what else would you do on the same purpose? #pilates #reformer

BALANCE STARTS AT YOUR FOOT 🦶. Not your core. Not your legs. Your foot. In ballet, I was taught: Anchor your foot. Send energy from the floor to the crown of your head. On the Pilates reformer, I train my clients the same way: Slow. Intentional. Precise. Technique first, speed second. When your foot roots → your core awakens → your balance transforms. ✨ Save this if balance has ever felt “out of reach.” 💬 Comment FOOT, CORE, or MIND — which one wakes up first for you? 🔁 Share this with someone who moves like a dancer but trains like a human. #PilatesReformer #MovementAsArt #MindBodyConnection #TechniqueOverTrends #EmbodiedMovement

If your core doesn’t shake doing this Reformer exercise… you’re not doing it right. 🔥 This Reformer sequence looks simple. But the secret connection changes everything. Press the elbow firmly into the yoga block and imagine your elbow and knees kissing each other. Suddenly the deep core fires. The inner thighs wake up. The entire body organizes. One red spring. One yellow spring. A yoga block. Simple setup. Serious burn. The girls in the studio told me they felt this one for days after class. Give it a try. And tell me in the comments your thoughts. Save this for your next Reformer workout. 🔥 #PilatesAndOr #ReformerPilates #PilatesInstructor #PilatesReformer #PilatesCommunity

Low lunge, back of the reformer, using the pegs as a link Not just here for support… but to create a true connection between upper and lower body through the core. In my classes, even with a full room, I always correct out loud. Because one correction for one client = a correction for everyone. Listen, adjust, feel, figure it out. That’s Pilates. Not just moving… but understanding what you’re doing so you can actually control it. That’s the difference between being coached… and being taught. Next Goal: getting to full extension on these! (Also, that little spin at the end 🌀) - I love how the reformer gives people the opportunity to experience “inversions” that they would traditionally feel like they would fall out of. - A version of this will pop up in my large group class. Full set up will be in my semi-private and 1:1s! - #pilatesreformer #pilatesinstructor #reformerworkout #coreworkout #coreworkout
