My heart rate is still getting pretty high… but it should be lower by day 30. *** STAIRMASTER *** StairMaster session: 30 minutes Pyramid Style Level 5: 5mn Level 6: 5mn Level 7: 5mn Level 7: 5mn Level 6: 5mn Level 5: 5mn The StairMaster Passport is coming out the first week of June! 

It’s an actual passport to guide you through your first 30 sessions on the StairMaster and more. 
I often get asked: 
StairMaster guide for beginners that will be your companion for your first 30 sessions on the StairMaster. Reasonably, it should take you 45 days to do 30 sessions. 
📒Notes: There are about 65 pages of solid info, challenges and daily logs. So you will always have a daily reason to use it even if you’re taking a rest day from the StairMaster. 

 It comes with this beautiful ID page! Look at it. So cute🥰 

👍Pros: You have sections for your “BEFORE” and “AFTER” pictures. 

👍Pros: You’ll have a section for your “current” and “post”’measurements. 

👍Pros: There are 15 challenges within the passport book. 

✅ It’s so organized.

Worked my way back down pyramid style with no breaks, this is really hard but gets the blood flowing big time 💪🏻. 2 to 2.5 reps on 100kg x3 sets. Supposedly that's all you need, thankfully that's all i can do right now haha 😄 #chestday#inclinebench#gym.

10 & 2 Lateral Raise Shoulder Burnout! Pyramid style! Grab a light pair of weights… I’m using 5 pound weights. Hold your arms at the 10 o’clock position and the 2 o’clock position. You’re going to hold your arms elevated as we do this workout. Start with 7 lateral raises in the 2 o’clock position while holding your left arm in the 10 o’clock position. Once you finish seven on the right side, do 7 on the left side. Continue with 6 on each side, followed by 5, 4, 3, 2, 1. Your shoulders should be fatigued right now and you’re welcome! Working a 25 minute @concept2inc WOD. Pyramid style: 2,3,4,3,2 minute intervals. 2 min rest between each. Today’s Focus: work in high Z2 and low Z3. This meant I was going to work in my PUSH level of intensity on the rower, 80 to 85%. In this video, I detailed the three levels of intensity we reference in the studio. Paddle, Push, and Power. Paddle being 60 to 70%, Push being 70 to 85%, Power being 85% and beyond. That strong aerobic work that we like to get in cardiovascular training often sits in that 80 to 85% level of intensity. It’s important to understand your splits and how they relate to the intensity you are putting effort into. We use 15 second blocks of time to differentiate. For example, the difference between your paddle and push is about 15 seconds and the difference between your push and power is about 15 seconds. So for today my paddle was 2:25. So I wanted to be working on the intervals as split between 2:10 and 2:15 to sit in that 80 to 85% level of intensity. Had I wanted to work shorter intervals at higher intensities moving into my power, I would’ve been sitting at sub two numbers, but that was not the focus for today. any questions about anything I say in this video or what in referencing here in the text just comment below. Pushup Routine to Increase Your Reps . Pyramid style sets. Pick a rep count that you know you can hit but is slightly challenging. Here we are using 15 reps. Now all you need to do is break that rep count down into smaller fragments but without letting go of the bar. Pyramids are ideal here as they allow for easy rep drops. So we did 15 reps as 5reps + 5s hold, 4 reps + 4 sec hold, down to 1 rep 1s hold all unbroken. This allows you to keep the volume your comfortable with but increase the time it takes to complete the set which increase time under tension and builds more muscular endurance. Try this out with any exercise you want to build endurance in. . #pushups #endurance #fitover50
