What you need to know about Reformer workouts 👇 1️⃣ A Reformer workout is not just for your body it’s a workout for your mind too 🙌 Each movement is all about that Mind -Body connection. 2️⃣ Sometimes you might struggle to feel or understand every exercise and know that this is OK. It might seem frustrating at the time but I promise you it will improve. Pilates is a practice for life so give it time, ask for help if there is time so you can work on long term improvement and longevity in your Pilates practice. 3️⃣ Alignment matters. It might seem insignificant but trust me once you get the right setup and you move from a place of good alignment for your body, you will feel the difference 4️⃣The Reformer is just one of the incredible pieces of the original Pilates equipment. And there is a traditional series of movements from beginner to advanced on the Reformer beds that were created by Joseph Pilates many many years ago. Your class may or may not include these original exercises. I think both the original Pilates and contemporary style Pilates have such great benefit to so many people and it’s great to understand the difference. 5️⃣ It usually takes about 10 consistent sessions for you to start to really feel how this practice could benefit your life and deliver results. So if you’ve only done a handful of classes and decided Reformer is not for you you may not have given it a proper go. One tip I do have for anyone looking to really progress their Reformer workouts is to add a Pilates Mat workout to your home routine. This will set your Reformer practice on 🔥 If you’re new to Reformer or just have questions to do with reformer workouts I am here to help. #pilates #reformer #reformerpilates #traditionalpilates #pilatesteacher #pilatesinstructor
