That might scare people away from training rotator cuffs, but I see it as a reason to intentionally prepare. Prehab shoulder training and shoulder bulletproofing feels so anabolic. Specimin training requires mobility, size, and strength. I will not allow myself to become a stiff gym bro. I believe this training will lead to longevity. Many people cringe at the sight, and assume I’ll be ruined in my middle ages. If your body feels stiff from sitting all day, move into a wide-stance pancake stretch and gently rock side to side to open the hips and decompress the spine. If you have a weak core and lower back, work through a tabletop position, rocking your hips between tabletop and seated to rebuild real spinal support. If you want to strengthen your shoulders, open your chest, and improve posture, use a kneeling shoulder-to-floor position to restore upper-body extension after hours of sitting. If you want more hip mobility and strength, add hip hurdles to train control, coordination, and range. Train like this and your body becomes stronger, more functional, and more aesthetic — even training at home.
