Could you read that fast?? So there is a lot of benefit in speed reading (which btw is a technique you can practice and become better at). Speed reading techniques help individuals process information more quickly, cover more material in a shorter time, and focus on key information and main ideas. This can be particularly helpful for those with ADHD who struggle with distractions, sustaining attention, and getting fatigued with long reading assignments (🙋🏾‍♀️) Let me know if you want more info on HOW TO READ FASTER, bc trust me, it’s a solid skill to have… #drsasha #adhd

Alright friends, welcome to Week 2! This week we’re focusing on “Speedreading made simple” Speed reading isn’t magic, it’s technique. Small shifts, big results. And the best part? You don’t have to overhaul your entire reading life to feel the difference. Tiny adjustments in how your eyes move, how you warm up your brain, and how you approach a page can completely change your pace and your comprehension. This week, we’re breaking speed reading down into simple, doable steps that fit into real life, busy schedules, tired brains, chaotic days and all. You’re not trying to read faster to prove anything; you’re learning to read in a way that feels smoother, lighter, and more natural. I use a technique called chunking. Chunking is a speedreading technique that trains your eyes to take in groups of words at a time instead of stopping on every single one. Instead of reading word‑by‑word — which slows you down and tires your brain — you start recognizing short phrases as single ideas. Your eyes make fewer stops across the line, your brain processes meaning more efficiently, and your comprehension often improves because you’re reading in natural thought units. It’s a small shift that feels strange at first, but once it clicks, it makes reading smoother, faster, and far less mentally draining. #speedreading #speedreadingtechniques

📚 The fastest reader ever recorded is often cited as Howard “Speedy” Berg, who reportedly reached over 25,000 words per minute — a pace that could equal roughly 100 pages a minute depending on the book. 🤯 At that speed, an entire novel could theoretically be finished in minutes. But there’s a catch. Many researchers debate whether full comprehension is possible at those extreme speeds. Most highly skilled speed readers who still retain strong understanding typically read around 1,000–2,000 words per minute. That’s still incredibly fast — about 4–8 pages per minute for an average book. 📖 In reality, true speed reading isn’t just about flying through text. It’s about focus, pattern recognition, and absorbing meaning efficiently, not just seeing words faster. #SpeedReading #DidYouKnow #BrainFacts #Reading #Learning

Phase 1 — Concept Build (30 minutes) Goal: Understand the chapter, not memorize 1. Read the chapter slowly (no speed reading). 2. Highlight keywords, formulas, dates, names. 3. Ask yourself: • “What is the core idea?” • “Why is this topic important?” 4. Write 5 lines of summary in your own words. Understanding = faster remembering + fewer mistakes. ⸻ 🌷 Micro Break (5 minutes) • Stand up • Drink water • No phone 👉 Let your mind breathe. ⸻ 🌷 Phase 2 — Deep Practice (35 minutes) Goal: Turn concept into problem-solving or recall 1. Solve 3–5 examples / problems / case studies. 2. Write answers step-by-step, not in your head. 3. Practice toughest part of the chapter twice. 4. Mark mistakes → write corrections beside them. 👉 Studying ≠ reading → Studying = doing. ⸻ 🌷 Micro Reset (5 minutes) • Close your eyes • Deep breathing • Stretch shoulders/neck 👉 Reduces burnout + improves memory. ⸻ 🌷 Phase 3 — Lock Memory (15 minutes) Goal: Make the chapter stick • Close the book → explain the topic to yourself. • Write 10 bullet points from memory. • Turn info into: • Flashcards • Mindmap • Flowchart 👉 Active recall > rereading This is how toppers master a chapter. ⸻ 🌷 Final 5 Minutes — Rapid Review • Revise formulas • Revise definitions • Look at diagrams 👉 You end the session with clarity, not confusion. #studytips #studymotivation #explorepage✨ #studyhard #study academicgrowth
