Dropping Is Weak. Pulling Is Strong. Own your descent with the Active Squat Pull Drill.� This drill - taught by StrongFirst Certified Master Instructor Fabio Zonin - is based on the Hip Flexor Pull Drill from the StrongFirst SFG I manual. Its goal is to teach an active negative: using the hip flexors to control the eccentric instead of dropping into position.��☑️ This variation adds key benefits:�• You can do it solo�• A loop band provides progressive resistance�• It closely mimics squat mechanics, making it transferable to barbell work �The goal: control your descent.�Stay braced, pull yourself into the bottom using your hip flexors, and drive your knees out while maintaining full-body tension. �☑️ Result:�• Better control around parallel�• More usable depth�• Fewer issues like lumbar flexion or butt wink �🔘 Execution:�Lie on your back in front of a rack. Attach a loop band to the base and your feet. Place a towel under your lower back to keep a natural curve. Head and sacrum stay grounded. �Start with legs extended. Brace hard.�Pull your knees toward your shoulders while driving them out - like a squat. As tension increases, keep pulling deeper. Stay tight. Don’t drop. Pause briefly. Breathe behind the brace.�Perform 2–3 controlled reps. �Then step under a barbell and repeat the same pattern:�brace → pull down → knees out → stable spine. �This drill coordinates:�• Hip flexors (pull)�• Glutes & external rotators (stability)�• Adductors (support & force) �Stronger. You think cardio only happens on a treadmill or while running long distances. But physiology defines cardio differently. Cardio (aerobic conditioning) happens when your heart rate stays elevated long enough to challenge your cardiovascular system - typically around 60–80% of your max heart rate. You can reach that zone in many ways. When you perform continuous kettlebell work - swings, cleans, snatches, squats, carries, presses - with short rest periods, several things happen: • Large muscle groups work at the same time • Oxygen demand increases • Breathing rate rises • The heart pumps faster to deliver blood and oxygen to the muscles If the work is steady and sustained, your heart rate climbs into that aerobic zone and stays there. That means you are training: • the heart • the lungs • the muscles All at the same time. This is what many coaches call “iron cardio.” With kettlebell training, the heart rate can enter the cardio zone within 1–3 minutes of continuous work, especially when large muscle groups are involved. If the effort keeps your heart rate around 60–80% of your max and you maintain that demand for 10–20 minutes total (through sets, intervals, or short rests), you are effectively training your cardiovascular system. You’re not just burning calories. You’re building strength, endurance, and work capacity with load. Strength that moves. Uruz.. Tak pojď kočičko! 😀 Věta, kterou jsem se snažil přemluvit 80kilovou kettlebell, aby mi skočila na rameno a pak nad hlavu. A povedlo se.. Musel jsem, teda ještě hodně zabrat a hlídat si techniku. Na tento výkon jsem hrozně pyšnej. Nejtěžší část je pro mne jednou rukou ji přemístit (chce to fakt dynamiku a úchop). Výraz už je relativně v klidu, ikdyž je to úplně jiný než jednoručka. Určitě doporučuju! Tak teď ještě jednou rukou Godzilu (92kg) a můžu na závody na Východ! Co se týká včerejší návštěvy v @kb5cz tak jsem byl naprosto spokojený a dali jsme super trénink. Je to opravdu dobrý gym a rád se tam vracím.
