Here’s exactly what I do at 57: • Overhead shoulder press • Front alternate raise • Lateral raise • Bent-over lateral raise 3 sets: 12 → 10 → 8 Light weights. Clean form. Minimal rest. Train all three… and your shoulders finally start to change shape. Whilst it’s a single move, it’s like hitting 3 birds with one stone (figuratively, of course!) and all exercises will help work your core. Pick up a set of dumbbells and flow through these series of motions: 🚀 Rows for your back 🚀 Bicep curls to squats for your arms, legs and booty 🚀 Shoulder presses for strong sculpted shoulders 💪 But, how does it help with weight loss? Whilst this exercise isn’t just about getting strong (although that’s a cool bonus). It also helps you towards your calorie deficit which will help you see fat loss. This is because you’ve engaged multiple muscle groups at once so your body works harder and burns more calories both during the workout and even after. Plus, building muscle helps to boost your metabolism. So, while you’re sculpting those muscles, you’re also saying bye to stubborn fat! This exercise is super adaptable and doable for all fitness levels. 🔥 Back No kettlebell? 👉 Just use a dumbbell instead (same benefits). It’s functional too, training the same pattern you use when lifting something heavy off the floor and standing tall with it (hello, everyday strength 👋). Aim for 3 rounds x 12 reps. Make sure you move slowly, keep your chest lifted and let your glutes and legs do the work (not your lower back).
