Your night guard isn’t treating your TMJ Disorder! Here’s why: Nightguards prevent damage to your teeth but they don’t address the root cause of TMJ pain. A TMJ orthotic does, when it’s made correctly and customized to how your muscles fire and how your joints decompress. Comment “ORTHOTIC” and I will send you a video on what my TMJ Orthotics look like! #tmjtreatment #jawpain #jawpaintreatment #orthotics #nightguard

Here is one of the most powerful job releases that you can do by yourself. It’s the same one that you see me to people when I work with them one on one. It can be kind of painful, and at the same time very emotionally. Take your pointing fingers, slide them across the top all the way to the back corner of your mouth. Press into the gums with your pointing fingers and turn them inward. Move around and breathe. When you do this, be mindful if you have long nails. If you’re dealing with TMJ disorder or any other jaw issues give this a try.

Chronic TMJ pain is invisible — but that doesn’t make it unreal. When people say “it’s all in your head” or “you’re exaggerating,” the emotional pain can hurt more than the jaw itself. If you’re living with constant pain, clicking, locking, headaches, and exhaustion — it’s not your fault. You don’t need to prove your suffering to anyone. TMD is not weakness. It’s your body asking for care. You are strong. You are seen. And healing is possible — you’re not alone. 🤍 -- FOR APPOINTMENTS Talk to us Chennai & Coimbatore : 9884-520-520 -- doctor@dilipdentalcentre.com Chennai G Map -- https://g.page/Dilip-dental-centre?share Coimbatore https://maps.app.goo.gl/dXiZGNrgYhxDJ... --- KNOW MORE https://drdilipdentalcentre.com/ --- {TMJ pain, TMD awareness, chronic jaw pain, invisible illness, orofacial pain, TMJ disorder, jaw clicking pain, jaw locking, chronic pain support, TMJ healing, emotional pain chronic illness, TMJ awareness video}

Chronic jaw pain doesn’t always start in the jaw. This patient had a perfect lifestyle — good sleep, low stress, healthy habits — yet suffered from long-standing TMJ pain. The missing link? Flat feet. When the foot arch collapses, the body compensates. That compensation travels from feet → hips → spine → shoulders → neck → jaw. Tight neck muscles, especially the SCM, create pressure on the temporal bone, which directly affects the TMJ. We didn’t just treat the jaw. We corrected the feet. And when the foundation healed, the jaw started healing too. The body doesn’t work in parts. It works as a connected system. ✨ Everything is connected. -- FOR APPOINTMENTS Talk to us Chennai & Coimbatore : 9884-520-520 -- doctor@dilipdentalcentre.com Chennai G Map -- https://g.page/Dilip-dental-centre?share Coimbatore https://maps.app.goo.gl/dXiZGNrgYhxDJ... --- KNOW MORE https://drdilipdentalcentre.com/ --- {TMJ pain, TMD treatment, jaw pain causes, chronic jaw pain, TMJ disorder, flat feet and jaw pain, kinetic chain, fascia connection, whole body healing, orofacial pain, TMJ specialist, neck pain and TMJ, SCM muscle, posture and jaw pain, foot posture jaw pain, holistic dentistry, functional dentistry, myofascial pain, body alignment, pain root cause}

Dont worry, Im just interested to show you how I apply the rubber bands. Guys, early detec and treatment is important. TMJ disorder is a group of conditions that cause pain and dysfunction in the temporomandibular joint (TMJ), the hinge-like joint that connects your jawbone to your skull. This can result from issues with the joint itself, like a displaced disc, or with the muscles controlling jaw movement. Symptoms include jaw pain, clicking or popping sounds, difficulty chewing, and headaches. What is the TMJ? The TMJ is a joint on each side of your face, located in front of your ears. It acts like a sliding hinge, allowing you to chew, talk, and move your jaw. A soft cartilage disc acts as a cushion between the bones to ensure smooth movement. Common symptoms: Pain or tenderness in the jaw, face, neck, or shoulders Pain that may radiate behind the eyes or ears Clicking, popping, or grating sounds when opening or closing your mouth Difficulty opening or closing your mouth, or a locked jaw Headaches Stiffness in the jaw muscles Dizziness or vision problems Potential causes Teeth grinding or clenching (bruxism) Injury or trauma to the jaw Arthritis in the TMJ Stress and tension An improper bite Dislocation of the disc within the joint #tmj #dubai

Young active female doing everything right — still unable to sleep well, chew and exercise. She had significant bilateral masseter fascial restriction, contributing to jaw pain, facial tightness, and upper neck symptoms. This is not TMJ disorder. This is not Fibromyalgia. This is downstream effects of hormonal and electrolyte imbalances. We’re addressing local fascial restriction while her endocrinologist and ENT work up the underlying parathyroid issue. This is supportive treatment to control her pain. Precision matters. Context matters. This is ultrasound-guided sports medicine. #MSKUltrasound #FascialRestriction #Masseter #JawPain #MississippiMotion

😱This client came to me with TMJ disorder and severe jaw tension. At the beginning of our sessions, her jaw joints were constantly misaligned and popping. 👉Using buccal massage, we work deeply with the masseters, chewing muscles, and even the small muscles around the ears. This helps to: ✨ release chronic jaw tension ✨ improve blood circulation ✨ support lymphatic drainage ✨ relax overworked masseters ✨ reduce TMJ pain and inflammation When the muscles relax and the fascia softens, the jaw can return to a more balanced and comfortable position. And the benefits go far beyond the face — clients often feel less stress, deeper relaxation, and improved overall wellbeing. ➡️Follow for more techniques ✨ For lisenced professionals: If you’re an esthetician, massage therapist, or wellness professional looking to learn advanced manual techniques, comment PRO and join the waiting list. ⏰I will be opening very limited professional training spots in the coming months

Terrified your TMJ is going to ruin your life? Comment ‘QUIZ’ and I’ll send you my Root Cause Quiz to figure out what’s causing your pain! 💡 What’s actually going on: A lot of people hear “TMJ” and immediately think their jaw is permanently damaged. But TMJ is just the name of the joint. It’s like saying “I have shoulder,” or “I have knee.” The real issue is usually TMJ disorder, and it’s a joint that responds extremely well to rehab when you understand the basics of how it works. 🧘‍♀️ Step 1: Check Flexibility Move your jaw forward, back, open, close, left, and right. Any direction that feels stuck becomes your target for mobility work. Gentle stretching and controlled movement help restore balance so the jaw stops getting pulled unevenly. 💪 Step 2: Check Strength Test the same directions for weakness. If one area doesn’t hold well, strengthening drills like resisted opening, closing, or lateral movement help rebuild symmetry and stability in the joint. 🧱 Step 3: Fix the Foundation Your jaw sits on your posture. If your upper back, neck, or ribcage are tense or misaligned, the jaw overworks. Balancing posture and reducing tension gives the TMJ a stable base so it can move without irritation. This video is an oversimplification of TMJ disorder and jaw pain in general. There’s a lot of nuance, including what’s happening inside the joint and how the surrounding muscles contribute. But the point is that the TMJ still follows the same foundational rehab concepts as every other joint: strength, range of motion, flexibility, and postural or muscular imbalances. Even though it’s the only bi-articulating joint in the body (one bone connecting joints on both sides) it’s still a joint. Most people hear “TMJ” and picture this scary, mysterious condition, but the success rate for treating it is high. Most people forget the TMJ is a joint like any other— and that’s why treating it is far more hopeful than it seems. Give this a try! #tmjdisorder #jawpainrelief #tmjtherapy #physicaltherapy #posturetips
