Obstacles in a minute with @beefcuts 👊 SLIP WALL The slip wall is one of @spartanrace ‘s signature obstacles built to make you SLIP 🤷‍♂️ There are several ways to tackle the slip wall but these are two methods on how we conquer it head on 🫡 Method 1: Secured Rope Pull 🍑 done by Beef • Beginner friendly • Running start required • Aim for the rope • Reach with one hand for maximum reach • Safer method with less flops • Grip intensive at times • Keep the booty low and feet flat on the wall for better posture This approach requires a running start to get over the slip wall. Reaching for the rope, with a secured grip keep the body close/low to keep your center of gravity steady from making you do a backflip. If you’re having a hard time with gripping the rope, you can coil the rope in your wrist to increase grip tension as a start to pull yourself up. Method 2: “Let the shoe’s grip take the wheel” 🔥done by Karl • Intermediate • Aim for the top of the wall • You need to trust your shoes • Preferred for short distance fast races • High possibility of falling forward/sliding down • Looks cool😎 This one’s a banger. If you miss it uou slide down and that’s one hell of a way to go but if you get this you’re up by seconds in time! DO NOT HESITATE when running towards the wall as you may increase chances of sliding down with risk on injury. Two possible conditions for the slip wall • HOT AS HELL 🔥 - Best course of action would be to use the safer method of securing the rope. The slip wall can sometimes feel like 1000 degrees when your body hits the steel wall and cause abrasions/injuries. Try to avoid touching any metal surface when this happens. • MUDDY AS FUDGE 💩 - Karl’s method is a big risk here as some shoes may not work as well and cause you to flop and slide down. The wall gets REALLY slippery. MANDATORY. Do take note for Spartan/OCRWC the slip wall is made of STEEL. Being topless is not mandatory but may reap stronger finishes 😜 Try this out on your next run 💪 Just be careful not to flop towards the wall OUCH! #spartanrace #spartanraceph #injinjiph #garminph #obstaclecourse #obstacleminute #ocr #reels
