Most climbers try to pull straight to the hold. That’s exactly what causes the swing. When your hips stay behind the hold, your body has no control and starts to swing away from the wall. The fix is simple: 1️⃣ Bring your center of gravity under the hold 2️⃣ Start the rotation 3️⃣ Keep the arm long Now the movement becomes stable. No swing. Much easier next move. Climbing is rarely about pulling harder. Most of the time it's about better position.
