ANThis past weekend I flew to Nashville, Tennessee for a friend’s bachelorette party with only a backpack that fit under my plane seat. Here are some packing tips to help you save space and money on your next trip!

🎒 Choose the right backpack/bag
Choose a bag that will allow you to optimize your space, keep things organized, and provide easy access to your things. I got this Embark 45L Adventure Backpack from @target for $70 and absolutely love it.
🎒 Plan your outfits
Know exactly what you will wear each day so you don’t have any unnecessary clothing items that are just along for the ride.
🎒 Roll your clothes & use packing cubes for smaller items
Best space saving strategy! Tightly organize those rolls into your allotted space. I use packing cubes to organize my undergarments.
🎒 Travel sized everything (especially liquids)
A given when flying where you can only bring liquids on the plane under 3.4 fluid ounces (100ml). Target is amazing for mini sized things but most other stores also have a travel sized section for bathroom essentials.
🎒 Cover shoes with a shower cap
The perfect fit and keeps your bag clean. Almost every hotel gives these away.
🎒 Choose things that pack down and don’t wrinkle
Ladies, yoga pants are your best friend! If you have to pack something that wrinkles, don’t roll this item but place it flat on top of your rolled clothes. Most hotels also have an iron or you can place it near a hot steamy shower.
🎒 Pick neutral colors as your base & add small pops of color
Neutrals go with everything (blacks, whites, tans, denim) and allow you to mix and match. Add small pops of color with accessories or choose one color theme to be mixed into your neutrals.

*The above backpack did fit under the plane seat but did not leave much room for my feet. This was totally fine on a shorter flight but I would put it in the overhead bin if going on a longer flight.*
