Here are the tips I wish someone gave me earlier… real, practical, and actually useful for self-taught bakers🥰 1.Mixing speed matters. Low–medium is for combining; high speed only when creaming butter + sugar. Too fast after adding flour = dense cake. 2.Crumb is everything. The moment flour goes in, fold gently and stop as soon as it’s combined. Extra 20–30 sec can ruin the texture. 3.Room-temp ingredients aren’t optional. Cold eggs or butter = tunnels, holes, or gummy streaks. Let them sit 20–30 mins. 4.Stop mixing as soon as the batter looks combined. If it starts looking glossy or stretchy, you’ve gone too far. 5.Don’t rush sugar. Cream until pale & airy, not just mixed. This step = softness. Which one of these tips surprised you the most? I know I’m not the only one struggling to line baking pans without creating a mess, which is why this BAKING HACK is an absolute game changer! It’s the easiest way to perfectly line a pan in under a minute without having to measure anything! I used it in my last brownie recipe reel and it worked perfectly! Don’t believe me? Try it for yourself! So how do you do it? Step 1: Put the parchment paper on the pan, making sure it’s big enough on the sides. Step 2: Fold parchment paper in half and place it on the pan so it covers only half of it, with the folded edge in the middle. Step 2: Cut two slits in the paper, one on each side, up to the bottom corners of the pan. Step 3: Open it up, fold the sides in, and push it down. That’s all! This hack works on all square and rectangular pans, and is great for baking brownies, cakes, no bake desserts and so much more! . . . . . . #hacks #baking #lifehacks

It’s about time I filmed an updated video sharing my viral cinnamon roll recipe. 🫶 You all are always asking me about my range, so I thought now would be the perfect time to introduce you to my CAFÉ Double Oven Range finished in Matte White. I dreamed of having a double oven range for SO long and I can officially say I am never ever ever going back thanks to @cafeappliances. I love that CAFÉ offers the ability to change out your hardware on your appliances. I paired the Matte White finish with Brushed Bronze hardware, but I'm considering swapping out for their Brushed Brass hardware to match the brass throughout the rest of our kitchen. What do you think? DOUGH: - 1/2 cup hot water - 3/4 cups warm milk - 1/2 cup salted butter - 1 room temperature egg - 1/2 cup sugar - 1 tsp salt - 4 1/2 cups flour - 2 packets instant yeast FILLING: - 2 1/2 stick soften salted butter - 2 1/2 cups brown sugar - 5 tbsp cinnamon FROSTING: - 1/2 cup softened cream cheese - 4 tbsp salted butter - 3 cup powdered sugar - 1 tsp vanilla bean paste - 1/4 tsp salt INSTRUCTIONS: - In a bowl or stand mixer, mix the water, milk, egg, butter, flour, sugar, yeast, and salt with a dough hook. Knead for 10-15 minutes, then place in greased bowl, cover, and rise for 2 hours. - While that’s rising, make the filling by beating together butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon. - Once the dough is done proofing, flour your surface and roll into an 18x15 rectangle, spread filling, roll, cut and place in a 9x13 baking dish. This is a maximalist recipe with LOTS of filling. If you think you’ll want less, use about 3/4 of the mixture. Cover and proof in a warm place for 1 hour. - Once the rolls are done proofing, bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes. - While those are baking, make the frosting by beating together cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, vanilla bean paste, and salt. - Allow the rolls to cool for approximately 5-10 minutes, frost, and enjoy! #CafeAppliances #DistinctByDesign #cinnamonrolls #cinnamonrollrecipe #baking

Valentine Cartoon Swiss roll 💖🍰 Ingredients: PATTERN: 10 g egg whites 10 g powdered sugar 10 g softened butter 10 g all purpose flour Yellow and white gel food coloring CAKE: 5 egg yolks 60 g vegetable oil 70 g milk 90 g all purpose flour Pink gel food coloring MERINGUE: 5 egg whites 75 gram caster sugar STEPS: 1. Combine all the ingredients for the pattern mixture and divide into different bowls. Add gel food coloring and transfer into piping bags. 2. Pipe the design and refrigerate for 20 minutes. 3. Combine the ingredients for the cake batter into a large mixing bowl and use a whisk to mix. In a separate bowl mix egg whites and granulated sugar until stiff peaks form (meringue) 4. Add cake batter into meringue and combine using a spatula. 5. Pour cake batter over the pattern. Bake in a preheated oven at 160C for 25 minutes. 6. Trim the edges and make diagonal cuts at both ends of the cake. Pre-roll the cake while it’s still warm and let your cake cool completely before adding filling. This way should make it easier to roll at the end. 7. Make the filling. I used 250 ml heavy whipping cream, 40 gram granulated sugar and raspberry jam. Roll the cake into an heart shape and use tape to keep it in place. 8.Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight. 9. *optional* use melted chocolate or royal icing to draw the outline of the cake to give it a cartoony-look. #swissrollcake #valentinecakes #cakereels #cutefood
