No matter what I call these flatbread, someone is going to say it’s a misnomer because this delicious bread is enjoyed by so many cultures 🤩🤩 But one thing’s for sure! They are so delicious, I made them 3 days in a row and we are now left with NOTHING! 😋 And the best part is, it’s so easy everyone can now make and enjoy them at home. So simple and so delicious! It also uses up a large batch of discard, so many wins in one recipe! 🥳🥳 PPSSTT 😊: If you do not yet have a sourdough starter, you can just swap out the levain with 5g instant yeast✌️✌️ 🅡🅔🅒🅘🅟🅔 350g Bread Flour/ All-Purpose Flour 180g Milk or Water 150g Levain or Discard 100g Greek Yogurt or any Plain Yogurt 20g Oil 30g Sugar 7g Salt 2g Instant Yeast (If using discard) Topping (optional) : Minced Garlic Chopped Coriander Olive oil 🅜🅔🅣🅗🅞🅓 ♡ ➡️ Mix water, levain and flour together and let it sit for 30 minutes (this shortens the kneading time). ➡️ Add in yogurt, salt, sugar and oil. Knead until you get a smooth and strong dough. ➡️ Proof until double. ➡️ Optional step: cold retard overnight to develop a deeper flavour. ➡️ Divide into equal portions and roll into balls. Rest 10 min. ➡️ Flatten the dough ball and roll it out flat. Rest covered for 15 min. ➡️ Fry in a non-stick skillet until both sides are nicely browned. HOT TIP! Cover the bread with a slightly moistened towel so that the steam can keep the bread warm and soft. Combine self-raising flour, yoghurt, and salt together. 2. Mix to form a soft dough. Divide into 6 equal pieces. 3. Dust a little flour on your work surface and roll out the dough about 3mm thick. 4. Heat a non-stick pan on medium-low heat and cook for 30-40 seconds on each side. 5. Keep the cooked flatbreads covered with a kitchen towel or foil. (Add more flour if needed). Divide in 9 pieces and roll them out. Fry without oil for a few mins each side. RECIPE: You’ll need… • 1 cup self-raising flour • 1 cup Greek yoghurt • 1 big pinch of salt 1. Mix flour, yoghurt & salt together in a bowl (add a bit more flour if it needs). 2. Flour a chopping board or clean surface before tipping your dough mixture out onto it. 3. Knead for several minutes until it forms a smooth dough. 4. Roll it out into a long log before cutting it into four even sections. 5. Take each section and roll it out into a doughy flatbread. Repeat this step until you have used up your dough. 6. Heat oil in a pan and pan fry each flatbread, making sure to char it just a little for extra flavour. 7. Add toppings of choice (or don’t). We made a garlic and parsley butter. 8.
