They come out soft and fluffy every time!👇🏽 - Ingredients: • 1 & 1/2 cup any flour (I use all purpose) • 1 & 1/2 cup fat free greek yogurt, plain • 2 tsp baking powder • 1 tsp salt • 1 tsp garlic powder • 1 egg (for egg wash) • topping: everything bagel seasoning or sesame seeds - Directions: • mix flour, greek yogurt, baking powder, salt, and garlic powder. • form dough into four balls and shape into bagels. Add a little more flour on your hands if dough is sticky. • brush with egg wash, sprinkle everything seasoning. • bake at 375°F for about 25 to 30 minutes. - Serving Size: 4 - Approx. 189 calories and 14g protein per bagel! - - #recipe #healthy #bagel #protein #breakfast

You just need a few ingredients and an oven. 😜 Much love Maya ✨ RECIPE (8 bagels, 2 1/2h prep time): -1 1/2 cups (360ml) lukewarm water -3 Tsp instant yeast Stir until dissolved -4 cups (520g) flour -1 Tsp salt -1 Tbsp sugar Stir then knead with floured hands until it’s a soft dough. Let it rest 60-90mins. Divide in 8 balls and shape by pressing a hole in the middle. Water bath: -about 2 liters water -1/4 cup (60ml) agave or maple syrup Bring to a simmer then cook the bagels 1min each side. Brush with vegan cream (and add sesame seeds if you want). Bake at 220C/425F for 20mins. - SELBSTGEMACHTE BAGELS 🥯 Ich liebe Bagels und dachte immer, es sei schwierig, sie zu Hause zuzubereiten, aber eigentlich ist es das nicht! Some may say it’s excessive, it’s unnecessary even non-authentic, but I don’t care because they give me the best results! 🫣😝 I’m sharing this recipe that I have always used and loved. It was born after many repeated attempts to perfect my sourdough 🥯 . I love how fluffy and chewy the bagels turn out everytime! I hope you enjoy the recipe too! Merry Xmas and happy holidays my lovely bread Fam 💖 🅡🅔🅒🅘🅟🅔 (Makes 6 regular bagels) 360g Bread Flour (or up to 30% whole-wheat flour) 72g Starter Discard 20g Sugar/ Honey 180g Water 7g Salt 3g Malt Powder (optional) 12g Oil (Optional) 🅜🅔🅣🅗🅞🅓 ➡️ Combine everything (hold the oil) and knead the dough until it comes together nicely ➡️ Add oil and continue kneading the dough until it becomes smooth (no need for window pane). ➡️ Proof until (almost) double. ➡️ Divide into 6 portions and roll them into tight balls. Rest for 15min. ➡️ Shape into bagels. ➡️ Proof until double. ➡️ Put a pot of water to boil and add a teaspoon of baking soda and sugar. ℍ𝕠𝕨 𝕋𝕠 𝕄𝕒𝕜𝕖 𝔾𝕣𝕖𝕒𝕥 𝔹𝕒𝕘𝕖𝕝𝕤! The 🥯 is one of the breads I make most often in the last 2 years and it’s a perennial favourite among my family and friends! And so if you would let me flex 💪 a little, I think I’m semi-qualified to give you some tips on how to make great 🥯! These tips stem from my own personal experience and you may or may not agree with some of them, so please read on with an open mind and I am always happy to hear your feedback! 💫 ʙᴀɢᴇʟ ᴛɪᴘs ✅ Do not overwork the dough. There is no need to knead until the windowpane stage as it is a low-hydration dough. The dough will be strong and does not tear when you stretch it gently. ✅ Keep the first proof short. The dough is easier to shape when it’s not too puffy. ✅ After the first proof, divide the dough and allow the dough to rest for 5-10min. It is easier to shape when the dough is relaxed. If you are using the shaping method in the video, seal the seams tightly. Otherwise the bagels may start to unravel in the boiling water. ✅ During the second proof, keep an eye on the dough. When it looks full and puffy, gently press the bagel with your fingertip. The dough should spring back slowly. Then it is time to boil the bagels. ✅ Add 1/2 tsp baking soda to the boiling water, if you want the bagels to take on a darker color during baking. ✅ Preheat the oven at 230C for at least 30 minutes before baking to ensure that the oven is hot and will help the bagels achieve a nice deep golden color. ✅ Bake at 230C for the first 10-12 min, once the bagels have developed color, turn down the temp to 180C and continue baking until cooked through. ✅ Watch the bagels closely, if you find that they are turning dark quickly, shield them with an aluminium sheet until the end of baking. . . #Sourdough#homebaking#homemadebread#guthealth#instabake#bagel#bread#bake#artisanbread#explorepage#sourdoughbagel#sgbakes#recipes#homecooking#recipereel#naturalfermentation#asmr#satisfying#sandwich#bakersofinstagram#levain#shebakesourdough#homebakerysg#sourdoughstarter#sweetstiffstarter#bakingtipsandtricks#天然酵母#天然酵母パン

Do you love bagels? Then you’ll love my Sourdough Bagels! The recipe below makes 6 regular sized bagels or 12 mini bagels! Bake them and eat them right away or freeze them and save them for another day! Which one would take? Sourdough Bagels Mix 425g @kingarthursbaking Bread Flour, 225g water, 100g levain, 10g sugar, 5g malt powder (optional) and 9g salt. Give 2 folds separated by 30 min and then leave dough untouched for the rest of bulk. Dough should take 3 hours to complete bulk fermentation depending on temperature. Divide into 6 equal dough balls. Let rest for 15 min. Shape dough into bagels by poking a hole in the middle of dough ball and gently stretch so hole is about 1.5 inches in diameter. Cover and proof on the counter for 1 hour (dough should begin to look airy) and then place bagels into fridge. The next morning, preheat your oven to convection 450F (if no convection bake at 475F). While oven preheats begin boiling water. Add about 2 tbsp of barley malt syrup and 1 tbsp of baking soda to water. Pull bagels from fridge and gently drop bagels into boiling water. Depending on the size of your pot you’ll most likely want to work in batches here. Boil bagels for about 30-45 seconds on each side. Remove boiled bagels with slotted spoon. Add your toppings while bagels are still wet. On baking sheet lined with parchment, bake bagels for 7 min.
