It’s super fun to think of the ways in which we can biohack our way to better health, but too often we skip the fundamentals.� Cold plunges, red light therapy, peptides, continuous glucose monitors -none of these will fix what you’re not doing daily. If your sleep is inconsistent or you’re not strength training or getting enough EAAs and fibre or you’re not managing your stress, no amount of “optimization” will move the needle the way you think it will. The fundamentals aren’t sexy but they’re everything! Consistent sleep and wake times, eating enough calories, fibre and protein, progressive strength training and stress management are essential. Biohacking is the 5%, while the fundamentals are the 95% Master the basics first and then layer in the extras. That’s the way to better health and longevity ❤️ Questions? Lmk!

Have you ever noticed how knowledge alone does not regulate the nervous system. You can know the tools. You can know the science. You can know the practices. But if the environment is wrong, the body still feels it. At 26 I was a sports physio. Master’s degree. Access to great mentors. Yet I was working 100 hours a week. Tired. Unhappy. Disconnected. My health collapsed. The turning point came when I stepped back and reduced my week to 30 hours. My boss wanted more work. I needed my health back. That moment showed me something important. You can have the dream job but still be in the wrong environment. As soon as I stepped away, my sleep improved. My energy returned. My health came back. That moment started a 10 year journey into self care and lifestyle medicine. One truth kept appearing. Environment and proximity shape most of who we become. Yet many of us live in places that keep us stressed, disconnected, and exhausted. Nature regulates the body. Stillness clears the mind. Breath brings us back to ourselves. The real differentiator is sustainability. The best modality is the one you will actually do consistently. Sauna and red light operate through different mechanisms. Heat stress activates cardiovascular and detox pathways. Photobiomodulation supports mitochondrial efficiency and cellular repair. They are complementary, not competitive. Hyperbaric oxygen therapy is in its own category. Oxygen delivery under pressure influences stem cell signaling, tissue repair, and systemic recovery. It is not better or worse. It is different.
