Ingredients
โข 1 lb block mozzarella
โข 3 eggs
โข All-purpose flour
โข Breadcrumbs (any kind)
Nashville Hot Sauce
โข 1 tsp cayenne
โข 1 tsp garlic powder
โข 1 tsp salt
โข 1 tsp chili powder
โข 2 tsp brown sugar
Steps:
1๏ธโฃ Cut the Cheese
Cut the mozzarella into sticks or squares, thickness is totally preference. Thinner sticks = more crunch, thicker sticks = more cheese pull. I use half an inch.
2๏ธโฃ Set Up Breading
One bowl with flour, one with beaten eggs, one with breadcrumbs.
3๏ธโฃ Bread the Cheese (Important)
Go in this order:
Flour โ Egg โ Breadcrumbs โ Egg โ Breadcrumbs
This double coat helps seal everything in so the cheese doesnโt ooze out.
4๏ธโฃ Freeze
Pop them in the freezer for 30 minutes.
5๏ธโฃ Fry
Fry at 350ยฐF until golden, about 1โ2 minutes.
6๏ธโฃ Make the Sauce
Mix all the spices together, then carefully whisk in some hot frying oil until smooth.
7๏ธโฃ Sauce & Eat
Brush the sauce on while theyโre hot and eat immediately.
