Have you ever used this feature? You can pre screen certain frames and speed up your edit in post with the metadata it captures. These marks show up in Catalyst Browse. Unfortunately if you want them to show up in Resolve or Premiere, you have to pay for the plugin.

Why You Need To Be Using CST Nodes ⬇️ . Using a CST in and out rather than just a single conversion node or lut allows you to adjust the footage before it ever fully converts to rec.709. Which in turn preserves the detail of your footage, doesn’t introduce un-wanted grain or artifacts and gives you more precise and predictable adjustment ability. This is just another simple thing I use to keep my videos looking crisp and how you can too! . Leave and questions you have in the comments! . #quality #davinciresolve #davinci

Here’s how log works and why and how we convert it to rec709. Remember log is for capturing as much info as possible and rec709 is how we display all of that info and color on our monitors. If you want an in depth explanation comment “CST” and I’ll send you a free PDF.

If you don’t like the way the LUT looks you can also use a CST node in replacement. If you need more help just comment and I got you 🫶🏻

DAY 03/60: COLOR60 Did you know this? Usually “Apply Inverse OOTF” gets applied automatically when you go from a smaller color space to a larger one in your CST in. But you should always make sure to double check when going from Rec. 709 to a log color profile that it is turned on. Also “OOTF” is short for “Opto-Optical Transfer Function.” The name doesn’t tell you anything about what it actually does. So just watch the video to see how I explain it. Try your best to always shoot in a log color profile. But if you do accidentally shoot in Rec. 709, it’s not the end of the world. #colorgrading #colorgrade #davinciresolve #tutorial #filmmaking #cinematography

This makes every other tool look like “amateur hour.” 🎞️ Film density is the secret to getting that rich, deep color you see in actual film stocks, but most digital tools just “crack” the image when you push them too far. Comment 'RapidGrade' and I’ll send you the details!

Here are the export settings I use to keep my videos from looking like dog sh*t 🦾🤣 Also the start of a new signature series “unf***ing your content” (I’m not that good at names). I have a ton of tutorials and content tips in mind so figured I make a series out of it. Also (2) comment “record” and I’ll shoot you over a PDF with the camera settings I use when I’m recording. #exportsettings #camerasettings
