It’s great for time-poor individuals and highly effective for athletes who need to repeat high-intensity efforts under fatigue. Whilst it won’t improve VO₂max as much as some other methods, moderate increases are still achieved. It also enhances a range of other physical qualities and physiological adaptations, including: • sprint speed • high-intensity exercise performance • anaerobic power and capacity • mitochondrial biogenesis • muscle architecture It’s an excellent training method for all-round physical development 👊🏻 However, I’ve seen a lot of people do it wrong! • too much volume • rest times that are too short • using it without clear structure and progression Fast, quality reps are crucial to its application 🔥 Next post: how to actually program it properly.
