HIIn 1972, the body of 16-year-old Jeannette DePalma was found atop a cliff in Springfield Township, New Jersey, after she had been missing for six weeks. A dog reportedly brought her decomposed forearm home, which led police to the discovery of her remains on a rocky outcrop known as the “Devil’s Teeth.” What followed was one of the most mysterious and unsettling unsolved cases in New Jersey history.
Rumors quickly spread that Jeannette had been the victim of a satanic ritual. Witnesses claimed to have seen strange symbols and occult objects—such as crosses, circles of stones, and makeshift altars—around her body. Local newspapers ran with the idea, further fueling panic. Some believed she had been sacrificed by a cult; others thought she had been targeted for her strong Christian faith. Authorities denied any definitive signs of ritualistic activity, but the case files were incomplete, and crucial autopsy results were never publicly released.
Over the decades, the mystery only deepened. Whistleblowers, journalists, and locals suggested that a cover-up may have taken place—either to protect someone powerful or to suppress widespread fear. In a shocking incident, a woman in Yendagandi village, Undi mandal, West Godavari district, received a parcel containing the decomposed body of an unidentified man, along with a letter demanding ₹1.3 crore and threatening her family with serious consequences if the demand was not met.
The woman, identified as Naga Tulsi, had earlier sought financial assistance from the Kshatriya Seva Samithi for house construction. She was informed via WhatsApp that electrical appliances, including lights and fans, would be delivered. On Thursday night, a person delivered a box to her doorstep, claiming it contained the promised items. However, upon opening the parcel, Tulsi discovered the body of a man, estimated to be around 45 years old, and the threatening letter.
Autopsy and Investigation Underway
The body was shifted to a government hospital for autopsy, with initial findings suggesting the man had died 4-5 days earlier. Police registered a case and launched an investigation to identify the deceased and the person who delivered the parcel.
District Superintendent of Police Adnan Nayeem Asmi visited the village to oversee the investigation.
