Notes from the reel: BCAA/EAA: No, these don’t do anything they are marketed to do, if you’re already getting enough protein in your diet (which is not that hard to do) Yes, even EAA’s, they’re not special. Collagen Protein: This is specifically talking about collagen protein powder. There is very mixed evidence on supplementing with regular collagen for skin, hair, and joint health (very little to the point I still wouldn’t reccomend it) Collagen protien powder does nothing in terms of muscle growth. It’s a money-grab for supplement companies that’s produced by boiling down the bones, feet, and other collagen-rich parts of animals that otherwise would have been discarded after the butchering or processing (stuff that would otherwise be turned into animal feed, pet food, or fertilizer). #supplements #fitness #gym #workout #creatine

Ooga booga supplement gooda… These are in my opinion the best supplements for athletes… There are lots of supplements out there, many of which I didn’t mention and many of which are garbage… Even though these supplements mentioned are good, we should always try to use a “food first” approach and try to get as much as we can from our diet before turning to supplements… Also, if your diet is chaos and your sleep is a mess…don’t bother thinking about supplements until those things are under control… At the time of me posting this, I have no affiliation to any of these brands…please don’t blindly take anything I show or recommend…do your own research, make sure brands are 3rd party tested and safe for sport and speak to your doctor and Dietitian before taking any supplements!!
