Leg pain with endo? Cyclical sciatica is a known manifestation of endometriosis. Important: this can also start off being cyclical but then become more constant. Sciatic involvement of endometriosis can happen a few different ways: Endometriosis has actually been found to grow on the sciatic nerve in some cases. More commonly it can be caused by nearby lesions pressing on the sciatic nerve, contributing to the already intense endo pain symptoms. But even without a lesion close to the nerve, chronic pelvic pain can sensitise the nervous system over time - amplifying pain signals far beyond where the disease actually is. How it’s managed: 🔴 Anti-inflammatories 🔴Specalist surgery to remove lesions near the nerve 🔴 Pelvic floor physiotherapy for associated muscle guarding Gandhi J, Wilson AL, Liang R, Weissbart SJ, Khan SA. I was told this pain was normal. It wasn’t. For years, I lived with pain I couldn’t explain. Pain during my period. Pain before my period even started. Pain after it ended. Pain when using the bathroom. Pain everyday. Pain when sitting too long. Pain when standing too long. Pain when walking. Pain when exercising. Pain when doing nothing at all. Pain that woke me up at night. Pain that made me cancel plans. Pain that made me question my own sanity. Doctors told me it was stress. Hormones. Anxiety. That I was “just sensitive”. That I should take painkillers and move on. What I actually had was Endometriosis and Adenomyosis. Endometriosis means tissue similar to the uterine lining grows outside the uterus, where it doesn’t belong. It can attach to organs, nerves, and ligaments. It causes chronic inflammation. And yes - it can hurt every single day, not just during your period. In my case, it was Stage 4 - a severe form. By the time it was diagnosed, my body had been fighting silently for years. This disease is invisible. But the pain is real. And the delay in diagnosis - often 7–10 years - changes lives. If you’re reading this and thinking “this sounds like me”: Please trust your body. Please keep asking questions. Please don’t let anyone tell you that suffering is normal. You’re not weak. You’re not dramatic. You’re not alone. 🤍 Save this. Share it. Someone needs to hear this today.

Sciatic endometriosis is more than just back pain , it can affect the sciatic nerve, causing pain or numbness down the leg. 👉 Physiotherapy and exercise may help with comfort but won’t release pressure from a trapped nerve. 👉 In some cases, surgery is needed to prevent long-term damage. If you notice symptoms like leg pain, tingling, or weakness, it’s important to seek specialist advice early. #EndometriosisAwareness #SciaticEndo #PelvicPain #NervePain #ExcisionSurgery

Having lived with deep infiltrating endo for 22 years (from symptom onset), if I were diagnosed today, these are the things I wouldn’t do and what I’d gently do instead ❤️ 1. I wouldn’t rely on a single solution - endometriosis is complex, and it deserves a layered, supportive approach. I’d start building a care team through my GP. That might include pelvic floor physio, surgery, trauma-informed therapy, dietary support, and mindfulness for pain management etc. If cost is a barrier, I’d look into chronic disease management plans through my doctor and explore free tools and resources online. There is support out there, even if it takes time to find. 2. While there can be a lot of uncertainty, I wouldn’t assume my body is completely broken. It can feel so hopeless at times, but I’d try my best to not let that story take over (while also taking it very seriously and seeking the right medical support). In most cases, with the right tools and support, this is something that can be managed. 3. I wouldn’t engage in harsh self-talk - instead of blaming myself or pushing through, I’d start speaking to myself with kindness. I’d practice self-compassion. I’d validate the pain, the confusion, and the grief (especially because of medical gaslighting along the way). You deserve to be believed and you deserve softness in how you speak to yourself. 4. I wouldn’t stay uneducated about chronic pain or the disease. Knowledge is power. I’d go to the library, pick up books like Explain Pain, and start understanding how chronic pain works, including how it can be overcome. Not to overwhelm myself, but to empower myself. Knowledge can give you a sense of control back, especially over the pain. And I wouldn’t rely solely on the medical system for answers. I’d become an active participant in my own care. I'm the captain now. 5. I wouldn’t isolate myself - I’d find community, whether that’s in-person or online. Connecting with others who truly understand can be incredibly healing. In Australia, organisations like QENDO offer support, education, and connection. You don’t have to do this alone, even if it sometimes feels that way. What are some things you would/wouldn't do? 💛

SCIATICA getting you down? PAIN won’t budge? ⚡️ Maybe you’re doing these 3 wrong things 😑 1. Never use heat packs on an acute back pain. This only “cooks” the inflammation & makes it worse. Try using an ice pack instead 🧊 2. Don’t OVER stretch your lower back and legs. This can irritate an already-irritated sciatic nerve. Try using a foam roller instead for more targeted muscle release. 3. Don’t try to EXERCISE/Strengthen a muscle that’s in spasm. These tight muscles are protecting your back & will only tighten up more if you do core exercises. Try resting & gentle spine movements instead. 📥 DM me if you’ve got sciatica & need some help 📥

If your sciatica keeps coming back, something is still restricting the nerve. Over 6 months of sciatica. Multiple doctors. Multiple therapists. No sustainable change. She’d been told it was her low back… her piriformis… tight hamstrings… But pain kept returning. When we evaluated her, we found multiple restrictions along the sciatic nerve pathway that were limiting its ability to glide. And that matters. When a nerve can’t move freely, the nervous system increases protective guarding in the tissues it travels through. That guarding sustains pain. We’ve already cleared several major restrictions over previous visits - working through the worst limitations first. But this session revealed something still holding her back. The common peroneal nerve, a branch of the sciatic nerve, was restricted where it passes through: • Peroneus longus • Soleus If this branch can’t glide, tension travels up the chain - and symptoms persist. In this video, I show how we restore movement to that segment. The bigger takeaway Sciatica isn’t always one structure. It’s often a process of unlayering restrictions - clearing the worst ones first - until the nervous system no longer feels the need to protect. Restore glide. Restore function. Restore confidence in movement. 📌 KEY POINTS • Sciatica is often multi-level • Nerves must glide to calm pain • Guarding sustains symptoms • Treat worst restrictions first • Function confirms the change If sciatica has: • Lasted months (or years) • Failed injections or therapy • Kept coming back ➡️ Save this post ➡️ Share it with someone in pain ➡️ Comment “SCIATICA” to see if you’re a candidate for care You’re not broken. Something is still restricting movement. #Sciatica #SciaticPain #CommonPeronealNerve #ChronicPainRelief #NerveEntrapment #AdhesionRelease

Most people spend years chasing sciatica relief through injections, adjustments, and stretches that only work temporarily. What they don’t know is there’s a reflexive reset point on the bottom of your foot that directly influences the sciatic nerve pathway. Press into the tender spots — that tenderness is telling you exactly where your nervous system is holding tension. Work those points for 60-90 seconds and notice what shifts in your low back and down your leg. 21 years of practice, 21,000 patients. This is the stuff that actually works. Save this and share it with someone who needs it. #sciatica #sciaticaRelief #backPain #painRelief #youngeryoudoc

“In Nov. 2021 I developed sciatica, the most debilitating pain down my left leg. Every morning, I had to warm up for hours before my commute to work, but sitting in a car would make my leg numb. My pain got so bad that I couldn’t sleep, walk, sit, or stand. I had to stop working. Everything was AGONY. My MRI showed a 13.7mm L4-L5 herniated disc, compressed nerves & severe central canal stenosis. For 3 months, I tried PT, muscle relaxers, painkillers, Rx for nerve pain, epidural injections… nothing worked. Seeing a chiro only exacerbated my symptoms. I was in 24/7 extreme pain & had poor sleep - all of that made me mentally and physically exhausted. I was so sad to hear that the only option left was back surgery. So a microdiscectomy was scheduled. I had 2 weeks to see if there was another way out. And then, my sister recommended Whealth. I canceled the surgery & joined Limitless knowing this was my last ticket to natural recovery. It was so hard in the beginning, but it was even harder to think about surgery, not knowing what my life would look like after. The amazing Whealth FB community helped me to persist. In just 4 weeks, my mobility improved & pain levels dropped. I worked on nutrition, sleep, & most importantly - mindset. This was crucial during my recovery because it was so depressing being in 10/10 pain for so long. I got a second MRI 3 months into the program, & the disc had shrunk so much that only a small bulge was showing. I had a follow-up with 2 neurosurgeons & they were amazed with the progress I made, saying I no longer needed surgery. Great proof how the body heals if you give it some time and the right movement. Limitless has helped me drastically reduce the consumption of painkillers from taking 3,000 mg/day of Tylenol to 500mg every other day. I still have pain below the knee, but I’m back to doing most of the activities in daily life (I can mop the whole house!). I’m also back to the gym LIFTING - something I thought I would NEVER do. I just wish I had joined the program years sooner. I can’t wait to improve more in the next few months & tell everyone that I’m pain free.” -Jana, 31 Limitless💊😔➡️💪😄 Link in bio

Sciatica doesn’t start in your leg — it starts at the nerve root in your spine 🧠⚡️ If the nerve root is compressed, stuck, or bound down by adhesions, the sciatic nerve can’t glide or signal properly. That’s when pain shoots into the glute, hamstring, calf, or foot 😣➡️🦵 Most treatments chase symptoms down the leg… but if the problem is at the source, relief never lasts 🚫 At Restore Soft Tissue and Spine, we treat sciatica directly at the spinal nerve root, removing adhesions and restoring proper nerve motion where the sciatic nerve actually begins 🎯 When the nerve is freed at the spine: • Pressure decreases ⬇️ • Inflammation calms 🔥➡️❄️ • Pain down the leg fades • Long-term relief becomes possible ✅ Stop chasing pain. Fix the source. Comment “PAIN” if you’re tired of suffering 💬 #sciatica #sciaticarelief #sciaticapainrelief #sciaticatreatment
