The phrase “curated chaos” consistently directed my thought process. I have made remade this pattern probably more than any other and it’s always fascinating! It’s no secret by now that I LOVE @fableism fabrics and I especially fell head over heels for the Monarch Grove collection. I knew I wanted to try Market Stalls in directional prints to see how it would look and this collection was perfect for this test. 🤩 I used a collection of fat quarters from Monarch Grove (I used 20 FQs in total to make the twin size). For the background I used one of their sprout wovens. The Market Stalls block has a center square that is on the diagonal, so with a directional print, it creates a really cool dynamic effect💥 I just love how each and every block turned out! It's a perfect match: @fableism Lucky Loom + my newest, beginner friendly pattern, Faelights. I made this toddler size #faelightsquilt using 9 Lucky Loom FQs, with Sprout Wovens in creme and cider for the sashing and more Lucky Loom for the binding. It's been a hot minute since I last made a reel. They're a lot of work! But it's so much fun when they come together in the end. I think this is the most complex one I've undertaken yet, with several weeks of work boiled down to half a minute. (It took a little longer than usual to make this quilt bc of quilting issues, which i mentioned in a post a while back; all issues were solved with a new walking foot. ) Y'all. The crinkle on this quilt is 🔥 unreal. These soft fabrics + dense quilting is so good. It's been really grey and rainy here for a long while, but the sun just came out, so maybe I'll get some nice pics of this one soon!
