The past month I’ve tried nicotine gum, here’s what happened. Now I can’t tell you how many times I’ve gotten nicotine sick in high school or college from hitting a friend’s vape, trying zyns, or not knowing how to smoke a cigar. So the last thing I’m here to do is promote nicotine consumption. It’s a very addictive substance and I know many people that have life long battles with this. HOWEVER, I have found that taking just 1mg of nicotine gum during a 4-5 hour work window helps increase my focus and productivity. “Studies show that nicotine can have nootropic effects, such as improved alertness and attention, especially in people with naturally poor attention spans” I don’t do this everyday but I keep it in my tool belt for those days where I just don’t have the attention span I need. A very productive and successful friend of mine mentioned this to me, and I’ve only been trying it out for a month. So who knows maybe my view will change. But for now, I can see that when I weight the pros and cons it’s a good tool for me to use from time to time.
