Ghee, The Ayurvedic Liquid Gold : Detailed recipe of Making Ghee at home with Grainy texture : Grab a large, heavy-bottomed pot or pan. For this ghee recipe, I have used 1800 grams of butter. I used @kerrygoldusa unsalted butter for the best result. Step 1: Place pan on stovetop and heat on medium-low to medium heat. The butter will begin to melt. Stir in intervals when butter begins to melt to assist the larger pieces. Step 2: When all the butter has melted, reduce heat to the lowest setting and simmer gently. Step 3: About a minute or so after all the butter is melted, you will hear sounds from the bottom of the pan and see milk solids appearing on the surface. Step 4: The entire surface will be covered with milk solids. Continue to simmer. You will see the color change gradually to a from a buttery, pale yellow to light golden with the butter bubbling and shimmering. Step 5: After some time, the milk solids will begin to settle at the bottom and the surface will start to look clearer. Step 6: When you see medium to large sized bubbles forming on the top and the entire mixture is bubbling, you are almost done! You have to be very attentive at this stage or else the ghee may burn. Remove from heat and place the pan on the countertop. The milk solids will begin to caramelize and turn golden from the residual heat, and you will see the color of ghee become darker. Wait until all the simmering stops and you see the browned bits of milk solids at the bottom. While the ghee is still warm, pour it through the strainer on top of a glass jar. Close tightly when the ghee cools. Store in a cool dry place. #ghee #pureghee #desighee #dairy #butter

How to make homemade ghee in Canada? | Hacks while living abroad | Kitchen Hacks✨ I am sharing an easy hack to make ghee at home while staying abroad to get that same familiar taste & smell plus it also helps to save up some cost!✨ Detailed Instructions: 1. Take 2 cubes (~900 gm | 454 gm each) of unsalted butter. I usually get mine from food basics which costed about $10-$11 dollars for two cubes. 2. In a deep pan, melt the butter & let it simmer on medium flame until the milk curds starts to separate as shown in the video, then turn the heat to low until the milk curds become light brown in colour, and then immediately turn the flame off and strain out the ghee in a heat proof container or another steel pan to let it cool down a bit. (Make sure we don’t heat until the curds become dark brown) ~ takes about 20 mins on medium heat this way. 3. The brown milk curds that separates is a form of mawa, and can be used for roti dough or in curries to boost flavour!😋 Note: You’ll see a lot of foam formation initially while heating, but don’t worry after a while it’s all going to go once the milk curds separates properly! Using this process, I usually make about 750-800 gm of this golden liquid ghee which sets once the temperature cools down’✨ You’ll not have to worry about buying store bought ghee which doesn’t taste as good and is also comparatively expensive!🥰 [ Healthy recipes, quick recipes, healthy meals, kitchen ideas, meal ideas, PCOS, Vegetarian recipes, tasty recipes, health boosters, PCOD management, aesthetic food, food photography, aesthetic edits, weight loss journey, Indian in Canada, immigrant, meal preps ] #healthylifestyle #kitchenhacks #healthychoices #immigrant #costsaving

🙌🏻 Homemade Ghee is the BEST. Are you making it at home or not? If not, give it a try. It’s so easy to make in bulk. . - I always use Kerry Gold Unsalted Butter. I mostly stock up when it’s on deal at Costco. - In the absence, I prefer Kirkland brand grass-fed butter (salted one). No worries, salt particles will settle at the bottom. You won’t taste salt in your ghee. . Want detailed instructions and all tips? Comment ‘Recipe’ and I’ll DM you the link. . How to make clarified butter 🧈 Sign up for my newsletter to keep up to date with recipes and cooking techniques! Comment “NEWSLETTER” and I’ll send you a link to your DMs to join my community! I have been making clarified butter at home for over five years. It is so much cheaper than buying in the store, and is super easy to make. Clarified Butter is great because it is a higher smoke point than butter, so you can cook at higher temperatures without allowing it to burn. It also has less lactose, so people who are sensitive to dairy usually can have it. Ingredients: * 3 lbs butter, I use grass fed and organic butter Preparation: STEP 1. Add all the butter to a large pot and turn on low heat. The butter will slowly melt and start to bubble. Bring up to a low simmer, make sure its not aggressively boiling. STEP 2. Keep at a simmer, you will see the butter goes through a few different phases, the foam will come to the top, then it will start clearing out, then it will form a crackly surface, and lastly it will start to look clear beneath the surface. This typically takes 20-30 minutes. STEP 3. Once the butter starts to look clear, you are near the end so watch it carefully. Allow for the majority of the milk solids to sink to the bottom. Use a spoon to check for clarity of the butter. STEP 4. Strain through a fine mesh strainer that is lined with cheesecloth. It will catch all of the milk solids and just leave you with the ghee which is pure fat. Store in a glass container at room temp. You may discard the milk solids or use for another purpose. Store at room temperature for later use! Have you tried making your own clarified butter? #clarifiedbutter #butter #ghee #cooking
