Simmer: Place the bones in a large pot or slow cooker. Add water, vinegar, and all other ingredients. Let it sit for 30 minutes before heating to draw out minerals. 2. Cook: Bring to a boil, then reduce to a low simmer. Chicken bones: 12-24 hours Beef bones: 24-48 hours Fish bones: 6-12 hours 3. Skim and strain: Occasionally skim off foam and impurities. When done, strain through a fine mesh sieve. 4. Bone Broth (Yakhni) Recipe ⤵️ Postpartum Essentials Episode 2: Yakhni or Bone Broth 🍖 Ingredients 1 kg beef or mutton bones (I used a mix of knuckles, marrow bones, rib bones) 2 onions cut in chunks 1 bulb garlic, halved 2 inches ginger 1 chopped carrot Handful fresh herbs (parsley, dill or coriander) 2 bay leaves 1/2 tsp peppercorns 1 stick cinnamon 1 tsp cumin seeds Few cloves 1 tsp fennel seeds 1/2 tsp oregano 1 tbsp salt 1 tsp turmeric 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar Water as required - preheat the oven to 180 C - wash the bones thoroughly & arrange on a baking tray - Roast them in the oven for 30 to 40 minutes till brown & fragrant - Transfer to a large pot & add all the remaining ingredients - Bring this to a rolling boil then reduce the heat to the lowest - Cook for 12 to 24 hours stirring occasionally (for a runnier broth, you may top up with some water) - Once cooked, remove the bones carefully & strain the broth - Refrigerate for at least 4 to 5 hours - Carefully remove the layer of beef tallow on top & store for later use - The broth/jelly at the bottom is to be reheated as required. Bone broth recipe… like & save for later! - Chicken or beef bones - 2 medium carrots - 1 large onion - 2 celery sticks - Garlic bulbs - 2-4 bay leaves - 1 tsp black peppercorns - 2 tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar - Sprinkle of salt - Cold water 1.) If using beef bones roast in the oven for 30-45 minutes at 200 degrees 2.) Add everything into a large pot and cover with cold water ensuring bones are covered. 3.) Bring to a boil and then reduce to simmer with the lid on for approx 12-24 hours. 4.) Allow to cool slightly but not fully and sieve juice into a jug and pour into tray (silicone moulds would work best) 5.) Place in the freezer for 3-5 hours 6.) Remove from freezer and empty into a freezer bag or container and use as needed Will keep up to 6 months in the freezer 🫶🏽

⭐️ BEST BONE BROTH ON THE INTERNET // LIQUID GOLD ⚡️⚡️⚡️ Ingredients: •mix of bones -I used 2 boat-cut marrow bones to ensure lots of collagen in this recipe, oxtails with the meat still on, as well as leftover frozen bones from past recipes like a chuck roast and short rib. •2 carrots chopped •1 large white onion chopped •3-4 stalks celery chopped •1 leek chopped •1tsbp olive oil •sea salt •seasonings of choice •splash apple cider vinegar If using new bones from the store, like I did with my boat-cut marrow, soak overnight in saltwater to draw out excess blood and impurities. When ready to roast, preheat oven to 450 F. Place bones on your baking sheet along with the veggies. Season generously with salt and optionally any other spices you may want to add (can also do this inside the broth water later on). Roast for about 20 minutes, flip veggies and bones (not the boat-cut marrow) and roast for another 20 min. Place everything in your pot or slow cooker. If there’s residual browning on the pan, pour a bit of hot water and scrape it off, adding it into the pot for all that FLAVOR (skip if using nonstick). Add enough water to cover the contents. Add a splash of ACV. Cook on the lowest heat on your stove, or slow-cook on low if using a slow-cooker, for 12 hours. Once finished, drain the broth and divide into jars to store. SAVE THE VEGGIES IF YOU WANNA MAKE LIQUID GOLD 👇🏼 Take those saved veggies and add them to a blender with a bit of the broth. If your blender is bigger you can do this in one batch or whatever way is easiest to evenly distribute into your jars. You’ll find what’s best for you. I did it in 3 batches (the amount of jars I used) and added 1/3 of veggies into the blender, some broth, and then mixing this all back into the jar then repeating for each jar. Freeze until ready to use. Ideally use smaller jars if you’ll be having a serving at a time. Seriously, make this. Seriously, send to your friend who loves bone broth and has been wanting to make some. Sip it slow. Enjoy it. Comment if you make it or plan on making it. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

All you need is a big pot, some bones, water and a splash of apple cider vinegar (helps to release all of those good nutrients from the bones!) Roast marrow bones at 425°F for 30 min. 2. Blanch and clean chicken feet (peel skin, trim claws). 3. Add everything to the pot with vinegar and water. 4. Soak 30 min, bring to a boil, skim foam, then simmer low and slow for 18–24 hrs. 5. Strain, chill overnight — it should set like Jell-O.
