The more slow runs you do the more mitochondria you develop ๐Ÿ‘ BUT, WHY IS MITOCHONDRIAL DEVELOPMENT IMPORTANT ? Put very simply Mitochondria produce energy for cells. In the presence of oxygen, mitochondria breakdown carbohydrate, fat, and protein into usable energy.
