I2 + Na2S2O3--> (I+) + .... که I+ ، یون ید به وجود اومده از پتاسیم یدیده! اتفاقی که میفته اینه که یون ید در محیط اسیدی به وسیله آب اکسیژنه احیا میشه و به وسیله سدیم تیو سولفات دوباره به یون تبدیل میشه ! وجود نشاسته باعث میشه وقتی یون به صورت عنصر در میاد محلول سیاه رنگ بشه ( آبی خیلی تیره) 💙 A cool reaction which is known as iodine Clock reaction 🤍🖤 It's a two step chain reaction 🧪 (🧪Above equation🧪) Which I+ is iodine ion comes from potassium iodide! What happening is that iodine ion forms iodine element in acidic environment via hydrogen peroxide and again forms iodine ion with help of sodium thiosulfate. They don’t need to touch to kill! Natural killer (NK) cells usually eliminate cancer cells through direct contact. They form a specialized structure called the immune synapse - a tightly organized interface where activating receptors and ligands cluster, allowing precise delivery of cytotoxic molecules to the target cell. But here’s where it gets interesting! NK cells can also form ultra-thin membrane nanotubes - tiny “tethers” that physically connect them to target cells over long distances 🎣 These nanotubes form after an NK cell briefly contacts a target and then moves away… but stays connected. These nanotubes aren’t just passive bridges. They contain functional mini immune synapses, where activating receptors (like NKG2D) and ligands (like MICA) cluster - just like in a classic cell-cell contact. That means signaling can still happen at a distance. So what do they actually do? 1️⃣ Enable NK cells to kill targets “remotely” 2️⃣ Physically pull target cells back (“bungee of death”) 3️⃣ Guide targets into close contact for efficient lysis 4️⃣ Increase the probability of killing Target cells connected via nanotubes were far more likely to be destroyed and cutting the nanotube reduced killing. These nanotubes can actively control target cell movement, forcing them to migrate in an unusual, reversed polarity - basically dragging them toward their death. This reveals a completely different layer of immune surveillance: Cells don’t just rely on direct contact or soluble signals - they can stay connected and communicate across distance. For cancer, this could mean: 1️⃣ Enhancing immune cell reach within dense tumors 2️⃣ Designing therapies that boost or mimic nanotube-mediated interactions 3️⃣ Improving cytotoxic efficiency when direct contact is limited 🎥 What you’re seeing: In the first video, red NK cells extend membrane nanotubes that reach and connect to green cancer cells. In the second video, NK cells use these nanotubes to kill cancer cells at a distance. These NK cells contain cytotoxic granules and can rapidly produce type I proinflammatory cytokines and chemokines; however, they do not react against healthy self-tissues because of the presence of stably expressed inhibitory ligands (e.g., MHC-I) on all healthy tissues and the lack of or very low expression of stimulatory ligands on healthy tissues (e.g., ULBP1) [5]. The dominant inputs that tip NK cell activation from ‘poised’ into raging effector cells are pro-inflammatory cytokines produced by their innate immune counterparts, including dendritic cells and macrophages. Potent type-I cytokines such as IL-18 and IL-12 are readily produced from tissue macrophages and dendritic cells at sites of inflammation and are stimulated via pathogen-associated molecular patterns (PAMPs) and damage-associated molecular patterns (DAMPs). An additional input that balances NK cell activation with ‘ON’ is the induction of stress ligands on DNA-damaged, stressed, infected host cells.
