RIEASY NON-ROLL EDGING
Do you want to prevent the hem of your stockinette knitting from curling? This is an easy way I used in my fleur_top pattern and I thought I’ll share it with you 🤍
1. Cast on your needed amount of stitches and knit at least 2-3 rounds (or rows, it works for flat knitting too) in stockinette stitch.
2. Slip the stitch from left needle knitwise.
3. Lift the stitch from two rounds/rows below of the same stitch from the wrong side ( the second purl bump) and knit it.
4. Pass your previously slipped stitch over.
3. Repeat steps 1-4 for every stitch.
After that you can keep knitting your garment in your preferred pattern.
The edging needs some practice, but after the first few stitches it’s really easy to remember. I love the neat and subtle look of it 🤍

KNKnitting Stitches for ✨Beginners✨
🧶Garter Stitch: knit all rows
🧶Stockinette: knit one row, purl one row
🧶Moss stitch: knit 1, purl 1 to end of row (over a multiple of 2 stitches plus 1)
🧶Reverse Stockinette: purl 1 row, knit 1 row

ENAfter receiving so many requests to show how I hold tension I finally made a video! There are many different ways to hold tension and I encourage everyone to do whatever feels comfortable but this is the method that I prefer.
So what I do is I hold the yarn in my pinky, tightening my grip to hold tension when working a stitch, and then loosening it when moving to the next stitch. I use my right index finger to guide the yarn while my left index finger guides the stitches on the needle forward kind of like a conveyor belt. I make sure to keep my hands relaxed and stretch every so often to avoid injury!
Side note // I’m knitting this sample of another pattern I wrote. I’m obsessed with this texture and can’t wait to wear it! I’m thinking of calling it the Waffle Sweater and it will be ready for testing in about 2 weeks!🩵
