Why does your L-sit feel stuck even if you’re strong? 🤔 It’s not just about hip flexor strength — tight hamstrings play a huge role too. This comes down to reciprocal inhibition: when one muscle contracts, the opposite has to relax. If your hamstrings can’t lengthen under tension, your quads + hip flexors can’t fully fire. That’s why I love end-range strength training — also called strength at length. In this video, I’m showing an active half split with a quad squeeze, one of my go-to drills for hamstring flexibility and L-sit progression. It takes time to get further and further into these stretches. The most important part is breathing and doing your best to relax your body/ not tense up.
