I did this core exercise at 22 weeks pregnant and again at 38 weeks + 3 days… and it might be one of the most important movements for pregnancy AND postpartum. It’s called a baby hug, and it teaches your body how to coordinate your core pressure system with breathing. Why that matters: • It practices the pressure + breath coordination you’ll use during labor • It helps support your spine and reduce low back pain as your belly grows • It keeps your deep core connected, making postpartum recovery and core activation easier How to do it: Inhale → breathe deeply into your belly, relax the pelvic floor, allow the pelvis to gently tilt forward. Exhale → lift the pelvic floor and deep core UP (not sucking in) like you’re zipping up supportive pants. Your pelvis naturally tilts slightly posteriorly. It’s subtle. It’s foundational. And it’s something I’m still doing days before delivery (hopefully 🤞🏼). I put the exact routine I’ve been doing in my FREE Third Trimester Mobility + Activation Guide.
